This has answered some of my most deep burning questions that I've had for my entire life. I used to think that we were connected to other countries through satellites. I never knew that fiber optic cables were so efficient over long distances and I never knew that cables were buried under the water. Now the only thing I'm curious about is how ISPs get access to these cables and how they work this out with the government. Currently 34 minutes in.

Your course was absolutely perfect, thanks dude ❤️. But i hope someone answers me about two point i can't understand seriously. 1 - about server : you said on explain company like google can creat so many servers to get more speed to be faster to response, right, all i want understand whene i share i data (image or video) he uploaded into all this servers or just one of them, i mean the more near to me? Beacuse : if it's the first answer and google uploaded the same data to all servers, that took more time and take more space. If it's not and data transfer only to one server, then the result be the same. Beacuse someon on chine for exemple and he want get responses that took time to travel btween different ips (local > régional > global). 2 : my second question about how wireless work, it's the same like cable or different way, but such firstly i know what's the access point ( if am not wrong i think its whene a router connect with cable and share a access point wireless in same distance) but i mean in this case, the wireless by satellite that Elon mask creat for example? It's send directly from satellite to near tour to your device or took some structure to response? [HOPE THE CHANNEL OR SOMEONE IN DOMINE CAN ANSWER ME, THANK YOU 🙏]

@JJFlores197

The modem connects your home network to your ISP's network. You can think of it as a bridge. In most home networks, your ISP sells/rent/gives you a gateway unit which includes a modem, router, and wifi all in one box.
