Short visualization of the working principle of the IQIP Hydrohammer
Hydraulic impact hammers can easily be controlled in drop height and energy which results in a more efficient pile driving process. Here we show how that works. This is in contrast to a diesel hammer that only has two positions to start from full fuel and half. This makes the hammer harder to control and start. It also impacts the safety and the piling process in tough soil conditions. The hydraulic impact hammer is also more favorable when the environment counts!
Due to the fact that the ram weights are accelerated, the ratio between hammer weight and energy output is extremely favorable.
The weight difference between our impact hammer and a diesel hammer off course differs in size. However, in general, the following weight differences are applicable;
- Diesel hammers are heavier by circa 10% to 20%*
- Conventional hydraulic hammers are heavier by circa 20% to 35%
