Yeah they should do that with everyone instead of just changing them to fit their agendas, just make them their own character and give them their very own identity because changing them will only make everyone see them as an alternate version instead of an original version. Like all these reboots the characters could of had their very own original story and no one would get pissed at the change and they would of had an original character. Idk why they even reboot anything anyway they could of just did a whole different character from that universe of whatever story they were telling and the person can be their own instead of having to be what was already there, why try to be someone else when you can be yourself? Isn't that what everyone always says? Be yourself? But reboots and changing things is not being original thats just changing the characters and making them act like the person who already did that role. Same with anything they do. If they're gona change a character then just do a whole different character with their own story and stop pushing the fans and community away from their favorite characters.

Definitely like the idea of a spider verse with different spidermen and one of them is a black kid way more than just turning Peter Parker black for acceptance points like they did with the little mermaid.

@@1eyedwilli3 nah i know that, but for like the main "616 flag ship peter Parker", there are certain guidelines to the actor they can hire... I think it only applies to live action.. anyways i still have no idea if what im talking about is a figment of my imagination or not but whatevs ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ok so i found this on some Variety article i have no idea what the legitimacy of it is The agreement spells out that mandatory Spider-Man traits must always strictly conform to the following list: male; does not torture; does not kill in defense of self or others; does not use foul language beyond PG-13; does not smoke tobacco; does not sell/distribute illegal drugs; does not abuse alcohol; does not have sex before the age of 16; does not have sex with anyone below the age of 16; and is not a homosexual (unless Marvel has portrayed that alter ego as a homosexual). The Peter Parker character traits include: his full name is Peter Benjamin Parker; he is Caucasian and heterosexual; his parents become absent from his life during his childhood; from the time his parents become absent he is raised by Aunt May and Uncle Ben in New York City; he gains his powers while attending either middle school or college; he gains his powers from being bitten by a spider; he designs his first red and blue costume; the black costume is a symbiote and not designed by him; he is raised in a middle class household in Queens, New York; he attends or attended high school in Queens, New York; and he attends or attended college in New York City. variety.com/2015/film/news/sony-hack-peter-parker-spider-man-white-straight-1201524150/

Not every super hero needs a race swap. If you make Peter Parker black and you're okay with it then you can make miles morales white lol. And I bet people would get upset if they did that

Tom Holland is already a white Miles Morales. In the comcis, Miles Morales is a copy of Peter Parker except, he goes to a school for gifted minds, he has a best friend who is his guy in the chair that knows his secrets, and he looks up to other superheroes. Tom Holland is literally more comic accurate to Miles Morales than Spiderverse is and he is more accurate to Miles than he is to Peter in the comics. This shit about not being okay with a white Miles is stupid, we literally already have it. They just happened to name him Peter cause it was more marketable and they wouldn’t need to deal with politics but like, character wise, we already have it.

…bruh you’re completely viewed it from the wrong angle, they’re not saying LETS JUST MAKE A BLACK PETER PARKER…Yes in essence that’s what they meant BUT BY CREATING A WHOLE FUCKING NEW CHARACTER ? HOW IS THAT HARD TO GRASP ? INSTEAD RIGHT AWAY THINKING “lOL PeTeR pArKEr DoEsnT nEEd To bE BlAcK” yeah know shit but Spider-Man can because it’s a persona not a legit fucking us citizen who’s first name is spider and last name is man dumbass

@@miles2309 yeah they snatched a ton of miles' character traits which makes me worry for when/if miles shows up in the mcu. like how are they gonna write him? they snatched his best friend dynamic with Ganke as well as what you mentioned already. it's hard to imagine tom holland's spiderman being miles' mentor like insomniacs or spiderverse's spidermen cause they been capitalising on awkward young teenage peter very hard which has been miles' vibe since he was created. oh well 🤧

@@lizjizz9397i ask me they’re gonna write him closer to how he is in the movies and games now. I means shit, even in the comics miles is starting to be written like his movie/game counter part. People don’t like to admit it but miles really was just black Peter in his original run. Which is a shame because as the Spider-Man games and movies showed us he did have elements that could make him very different from Peter, they were just very not used.
