@yukazayuuuki2057
9 күн бұрын
just cement the rod XD, put like a layer of 3cm around it and the wire going to the wall and you should be safe, generaly lightning doesnt wanna go through concrete walls unless that rod is the only metal in like 100 meter radius and even than its almost impossible to slip through the cracks (what i mean is even cement is not perfect but it will do the job). I am electrician btw and gonna do it soon this way and also probably put a 0.1amp fast glass fuze between the wire from the outside and inside since if you want to have multiple grounding points your outside cable should be bigger in diameter than the ones inside connecting the grounding points. But this is just me writing thesis for people that might read this :D, its irrelevant to the question. Cement it or put a giant box around it. Or you can use a thing called in slovak language (bleskoistka), its 3-way fuse, normally its used as 1P (Phase) 1N (Neutral) 1E (Earth), but u can use the 1P and 1N to connect the bed and use another rod outside for 1E so that the lightning will jump due to high voltage through path of least resistance from 1P to 1E saving you from a fatal hit (1N should be untouched(Your bed)). It is used so save generators from fatal lightning strikes tough idk how it will work for human.

If you live in the USA, there’s already two grounding rods 6’ apart 10 feet long connected to the ground and cold water bonds in your house. So every outlet has a good ground. Cut the hot and neutral tabs off a plug and Connect a copper wire to this same setup in your bedroom. That short piece of copper isn’t getting deep enough to reach the grounded shelf inside the earth. That is why the two grounding rods are 10’ deep and they’re 6’ apart to prevent displacement of electromagnetism to your service panel.
