I love how he touches on the idea that is really true in many cases, the real innovative ideas come when you are not really thinking about them(if that makes sense) but when you discuss problems or ideas with people in a non forced environment ❤😮🎉. Love your content @Garry Tan

if people would rather not meet other people in person, it just means they don’t like one another... they can shove the new norm up where the sun doesn’t shine...

Maybe they don't like sitting in traffic?

No. This isn't high school. No one is sitting at lunch tables chatting about bright ideas. Work is work. You're coworkers are not family or friends, and commuting sucks. Trust your people who want to work from home to do so. Host happy hours if you need to feel friendly.

Yeah, it's a tough pill to swallow when someone tells you you'll be more productive if you sit in traffic for 2hrs/day.

I can understand how serendipity can be more free-flowing when folks are together but I find it hard to believe that it will outweigh the pains that comes with adulting. Often time people who argued for the former often are in a position of luxury to not have to deal with those (i.e. errands, have someone to take care of their kids, live super close to office)

Companies should embrace change, and the workforce should adapt for working remotely, not try to hold on to these old ideals of how we should work.
