I think Bischoff deserves credit for helping to get WCW profitable and indeed not just competing, but surpassing WWF. That is something that few, if any, other booker or promoter hasn't done for any length of time. Love or hate him, that is a hell of a feat.

Both companies would have went broke. NWO saved WCW for a time, forced McMahon do do similar stuff called the attitude era. Eric Bischoff saved wrestling in America. Is that too much?

Eric is the father of the modern TV Wrestling format. If it wasnt for Eric doing what he did in wcw the wwf/e would probably still be doing jobber squash matches on raw. Eric pioneered the more reality based, in ring promos and episodic storyline type wrestling. Raw be4 nitro was just basically a commercial for live shows. Sqash matches and highlights on RAW. It was only an hour long and it was just horrible. Because of the way Eric did WCW TV, WWE makes hundreds of billions on their tv deals.

Eric bischoff was the one guy not Verne Gagene not Jim Crockett not Bill watts to beat Vince mcmahon

But he didn't. He had a long streak of dominating ratings, but JCP used to beat WWF in ratings too, and they pushed Vince for years. but just like all the others, in the end, their company went out of business and Bischoff lost like all the others.

Ummm, Dave.... Flair was in the main event of Survivor Series 5 weeks before his final match. And honestly he was champ just a month before that.....

That was the condition in his contract. If he wasn't in the main event and had an offer to go elsewhere he would be allowed to leave. Bill Watts wanted him back and it was more like 3 months without the belt. Plus he was completely punked out in the Rumble. Also his future plans allegedly just had him as a midcard act. I do agree it was something of an overreaction. But hey that's how he felt, he saw the opening and he took it

Eric Bischoff changed wrestling in the same way video game resellers changed video game hunting. Changed it for the absolute worst, made it either a joke or hated among other fans and the worst thing about being a video game/wrestling fan.

By the time WCW Nitro was 4 years old, they were already competitive with Raw on the same night. I would put them more on the pre-2010 TNA/Impact tier

I don't quite think so. Not that it's a bad thing, cause WCW ain't around as a company anymore, but you can see the DNA of WCW in them. Difference being they, at this point, haven't reached the heights that WCW did. That might not be possible with the lay of how folk watch things and how big the casual fan bubble is for wrestling. To truly be WCW, AEW would need to not just bring back in some lapsed fans, but bring in a big portion of new fans too and again, I don't know if that is possible to the level of WCW back in the day, no matter how good of a product AEW has.
