Woaoooh !! this episode, even for an hour, is too short. Love how the interview goes on structure and building art, because like everything else it need a solid foundation. the analogie with poetry or learning a new tong is so true. Once again thanks for this episode. Your podcast are really great.

This interview was just fantastic to listen to! I can't believe how many good thoughts fit in just an hour. Especially the part in which Kevin talked about people choosing to/having to do a job they hate instead of doing what they love/doing art really resonated with me. I have had these exact thoughts myself and Kevin's words felt very encouraging. It still feels quite hopeless, to be honest, but listening to artists say "go for it, do what you love" makes it feel like it's not impossible.

Glad you found inspiration in the interview, Shinon! Remember, small steps are also good ... imagine going to swim in a fresh water ... you can either jump or ease in. Sometimes easing in feels more under control ... The important is that you master the fundamentals 👌 Wish you success in your artistic journey and enjoy it 😊

Great interview with Kevin. I'm currently going through the Evolve program and it's fantastic. I'd highly recommend it. I believe it was Picasso, not Matisse who did the sketch.

2:13. Oooh! Vallejo? So he is Boris Vallejo son! I was looking up the evolve course, and I was fascinated by the art, but now I’m really interested! I love the art work by the Vallejo family, sure I prefer Frazetta but the vallejo’s are masters! He is so lucky to learn from Dominic!

Yes, it's amazing, right!? It's the consistency of the student results that is so amazing!!

@@artsideoflife Aah, consistency, one of the worst enemies on this journey -.-. But when the results arrive it must be so satisfying :D And if you have a mentor who is guiding you even better! Hem, and you Iva have a highly recommended program on Patreon too! :)👍👍

Yes, that's so true ... what I meant was that the Evolve Artist has such constructed program that it delivers consistent results for the students over and over again. So it's not only on the students' side but also teaching side, which sometimes is not the case. And absolutely, Kevin is a great mentor, much recommended! Thanks for your support :)

Another interesting and well structured interview, thank you Iva and Kevin! Just a small suggestion; there's a lot of extra noise (from handmovements?) on the soundtrack, don't be afraid to adjust mike positions etc mid-flow if it's an issue. :-)

Did you know that Bobby Axelrod is actually played by a British actor? He has also played the main role in Band of Brothers back in 2000s, playing American soldier. Apparently great at doing American accent ;)
