Just because you’re a parent, doesn’t mean you have to give up on your dreams to raise your children. Then again, the addiction was an issue that needed to be fixed.

Screen time is a major problem in our society today. Most of us are guilty of this. Please don’t judge this man too harshly. This is a problem for adults and children. It can easily grow out of control and cause major issues. We as parents need to take a stronger stance to limit screen time of all forms for kids and also to model healthy behavior.

Literally a carbon copy of my ex. He would play for 18 hours per day and have one meal a day and barely shower so it wouldn’t take him away from his game. He ended up cheating on me with someone he met in the game

Same here. Simply reducing the amount of time that they play video games should be enough. Cutting out completely isn't far but I guess she feels that video games are bad period and should be banned forever.

@@gidpinky6961 it completely screws your brain up just like any other addiction. It damages a the frontal cortex. It negatively effects every other aspect of your life due to this damage. You may not see it or admit it but others around you absolutely will. If you have a family, it very much affects them. It can cause severe depression and even suicide.

This is such bull crap. 1. He admits that he should probably be doing more, indicating that he isn't closed off to the idea of communicating the issue. Assumptions tear people apart. 2. There is no correlation between violent video games and violence in life. This is a myth that has been debunked, and is a manipulative tactic the nanny uses to pull at the dad's heartstrings. 3. Claiming that he isn't spending time with his son, and then INCLUDING the clip of his son saying he likes to do that thing with his dad, is down right horrible. Again, guilt shaming the dad into believing he has an addiction. 4. Going outside is great, the family should probably balance the gaming and outside time more often. But now you've separated the father from something that he loves and possibly friends or family. He WILL grow to resent that. Parents need to realize that their family isn't all that they need. Everyone needs outlets. 5. I am so sick of the negative gaming stigma. It's the reason why so many content creators or creative minds get stifled at a younger age because parents don't believe that it can be a very good avenue of income. Everyone has bought into the "get a job and a paycheck" style of life that no one realizes that society is shifting towards digital media, including gaming. Do better, "Super Nanny".

@@auzzygirl8175 do the research debunking violence linked to video games and you'll find that they don't cause violence themselves. That's a myth. Further research may show something more, but we haven't seen that yet.

@@auzzygirl8175 while the father needs to be doing more and BALANCING his life with his love for gaming, throwing out gaming just because it desensitises you to violence is not the answer. Gaming has loads of other benefits, it trains kids to have better spacial awareness, it trains kids to find connection online as well as offline, it trains kids to think critically when solving puzzles, it trains reaction timing and thinking fast, it trains kids to socialise when mothers dont let kids go out nowadays because of the dangers of society. BALANCE is what you are looking for, you should be doing more research on gaming.

Looks like you are also an addict who is in great denial. Educate yourself and stop justifying your addiction. It rewires your brain and hijacks the reward center.

@@msiankid can an alcoholic have a balance with alcohol? Stop being oblivious. Gaming addiction is real and it rewires your brain neuropathways. It’s not the violence that’s an issue with the guy, it’s the addiction. It literally consumes his life.
