@autohmae

That sounds pretty dark sketch. It reminds me of the song Rammstein Mein Teil. Maybe not look up the inspiration for the song on Wikipedia. Gives a new meaning to "You are what you eat" (which is part of the lyrics, in German of course)

Oh good heavens... I'm Italian and I can cook: I must say something... but I can't act the usual triggered Italian... What do I do now? First. The burrata on the pizza. A big no-no. They do that here in Italy too bit it makes no sense. A real margherita needs good old buffalo mozzarella. Mozzarella must cook together with the pizza. By the way, the pizza was waaaay more expensive that the pasta pescatore (we would say pasta alla marinara, not pescatore). In Italy it would be the opposite. Sea food, especially crustaceans, is very expensive. The beef pasta didn't look bad but it's not traditional. Those very rustic mezze maniche, thick and coarse, are perfect to capture every kind of sauce, especially those without tomato. Risotto and pasta pescatore (alla marinara) looked fine. They are indeed more typical of the South of Italy even though you will find them everywhere. But finding good seafood can be an adventure here in Italy, people in Japan are luckier in that regard. Great to see Ryotaro and great editing :)
@esti-od1mz
2 жыл бұрын
As an Italian too, I pretty much agree. Also, "Pescatore" wouldn't make much of a sense for a dish. It literally means "FIsherman"... but I aprreciate the effort. I would also say that good seafood is not that different to find here: but maybe it depends on the part of Italy
@JunkFoodJapan
2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for educating me, you comment is very well written and interesting. The beef dish was me asking Chef Nagai to make something that is not on the menu and just for fun. It was delicious but not your traditional Italian dish. I did say it was my favorite Italian inspired restaurant in Japan. The Alla Marinara was absolutely amazing 🤩
