Got my gcses this year and was pretty behind on content from last year so i bought them exact textbooks for £30 for 2 modules like a month ago. The teachers have just gave us the revision guide versions to buy and now i might regret buying the textbooks. I havent got the revision guides yet but i think they have very less info if your tryna catch up so hopefully i made the right choice with the textbooks😭😭. Im on around a 4 right now but my targets a 7 and hopefully with these revision techniques i can achieve that 🤞

Another thing, in cgp book they have question at the end on the topic so should I read the topic find the answers for each question and just learn it

you can do that however in my opinion focus on actual past exam style questions more :)

although I learnt Elizabethan England last, it was the hardest for me to remember, so I firstly prioritised things by what I found the hardest and then I would recommend to have an excel sheet where you write all the topics for each module, and when you revised it last and colour it according to how you found it. so you know what you may need to recap. :)

hi, I personally don’t really use mindmaps or time tables so maybe I’m not the right person to make the video, I also use spaced repetition however I have not done it long enough for me to be confident in talking about it but in the future i will be very willing, sorry :)

Hi I love ur video they are very good, I am commenting because I am struggling to cover the topics for maths science English and french I have a cgp book and I was wonderning should I make no notes or just do past papers for each topic and make posters on each subheading or topic how do i finish these by January btw I do not have a timetable should I make one and get all the topic from each book and fill in different day with topics until January. I want to get 9 but 7 or 8 would be minimum what should I do

Hey, thank you very much. For maths, instead of focusing on the cgp guide I would recommend to do practise questions on websites such as maths genie, maths made easy their practise questions are really good, do them on a white board, with music if it doesn’t bother you and then the hard questions write them down on a piece of paper or a flashcard so you can focus on them first before exams. Although if you have the cgp guide for maths with mainly exam style questions that is actually pretty good too. Basically don’t make notes of pages unless you’re trying to learn the content for maths rather go through all the question banks on the websites I mentioned :)

For science, I would make notes on the hard concepts that you may think you won’t understand later, key formulas, diagrams, EXPERIMENTS, make a list of everything that you need to learn and then go on physics and maths tutor and answer all the questions I’m not sure if you do triple sciences or combined but some questions may not be for the combined specification so you can just skip those. Practise practise practise and then mark. Also make flashcards if that works for you.

With English, for me that was all tears but will literature I constantly returned back to my analysis and tried to deepen it and improve it and with English language honestly I’m not the girl to ask.

For french, make a checklist of everything that an examiner is looking for so all the tenses, negatives idioms and then learn the main high level phrases try and make them as unique as possible and then when practising writing write it out in English first and then try and find the french for it. Use google translate if you’re smart with it.
