This secured polytunnel has endured warnings of 65 MPH wind gusts so far! (Lots & lots of 15-30 MPH winds, too; most days are windy for us right now.) We have a tendency to get strong squall line storms quite often, most packing quite a windy punch minutes before the rain begins to pour. This meant I needed a heavy duty solution to keep this tunnel right where it's supposed to be!
I also have the tunnel place on the west/southwest side of my home, which helps to break some of the wind. However, it has endured hefty winds from the south, a direct hit against the front and side of the tunnel.
If you're considering this tunnel and live in an area that has frequent wind, be prepared to anchor it the moment you place the cover over it; if not, you risk significant damage to the polytunnel.
