Very helpful tips. "Becoming comfortable with rejection is a skillset on its own" .- Gwyneth Cloud Engineer. The area on also humbling yourself to take on cloud adjacent roles before you eventually land the actual cloud one cant be overspoken enough about - Use it as your foundation to getting more off-the-clock time in the company to see how the folks in that cloud role that you want to do, function and if that is still the type of role you'd be willing to fall into.

My mother is peña too. From Puerto Rico, originally Chicago. Her dad's name was Pedro Peña. She had many older brothers and sisters that she didn't grew up with. One was named Luis peña, he cooked or was a chef. I say that, because you have those peña eyes.

@@ashfaqueshaikh2881 yes I did, I got a job last December and now I'm starting working in January funny thing is I don't have any Cloud certification or background but the company will train me to be a cloud engineer specifically azure cloud however as of right now they hire me as a Linux system admin so I'm very happy. But to be honest I went to an online school and trains me to be a Linux system admin with no college degree needed. They help me from scratch from learning the foundation, to getting the certification RHCSA(Red Hat Certified System Administrator) and provided me an internship. It's very hard to look for a job without experience because of the competition, it also depends how good you are in interview.

@@Oche923 That depends on the company usually if is a junior cloud engineer job and they are willing to teach people then is much simpler to get that job without the experience such as myself. My personal advice to you is to build a project in the cloud put it on your resume and you might get lucky 😉 who knows. Last but not least I know company's look for previous experience but not always is the case just show them you can do that job an you get the chance to work for them

You are lucky that you gotten your MCSE because Microsoft gotten rid of all of their legacy certs now replaced with all cloud certs like Azure etc. No more MCSA and MCSE as they are obsolete.

Programming is vague, you're not necessarily going to be coding all day, but you will need to understand code. Automation is definitely needed.

You could always sign up for a free account and check out some of the free courses and see if you like it before paying for a subscription. I don't have much experience using any other learning platform, besides Microsoft Learn which is free and great for Microsoft content :) Much luck to you and welcome to the cloud world.

Don't say that all you need is attitude. I had no degree I kept changing jobs from working as labour rental sales agent Uber driver taxi driver working in prison.. but I had a passion for IT I one day made a nice cv with all the It stuff that I learnt from KZitem etc applied for jobs .. thst didn't land a job I went and downloaded a static website about cv bought domain and voila landed a job interview.. and just after two days for the interview which was for help desk I was offered level 1.5 position.. :)

Highly depends on the company. From personal experience: - deploying infrastructure - automating tasks with some sort of scripting language - responding to any alerts - assisting on building out new projects
