Provided you find good help, of course. And, you're so right bc at some point, something's gotta give! Like in law school after my 1st yr, I had to call on my mother to help bc I was a single Mom, & struggling hard. Thought I could handle it bc I did so in college. It was too much! Lost 22 lbs in 1st semester, & couldn't study enough bc of dinner, homework, bath time, etc, + study 4-6 hrs or more per day + classes, parent drop off/pickup, & I physically went into the school to get my child to remain involved. I wouldn't do it again, & don't recommend it w/o a lot of support! Monica is figuring it out now that's she's gotten her feet wet, & I'mso impressed! You're right - she could have a team helping, & take a lot of the burden off.

This might be the most important video you've ever made. Thank you for your honesty and transparency. Starting a new career is hard, it's overwhelming and it requires a lot of courage. So often, we see people confidently moving into a new career path or young people moving into "the real world" without any hiccups. It can be scary and anxiety inducing. So often we feel like we aren't good enough or smart enough for a given field so we shy away from the challenge. Thank you for sharing the hard parts of your career change with us. This is important!

You actually inspired me to do the Real Estate Exam in California. I agree with a lot you're saying here. If you're willing to put in the work, go with the most cost-effective class you can get. I overpaid for my class (because I thought there would be value in group zoom sessions, but I felt they were not that great). I then used Prepagent to do exams repeatedly, leading up the 14 days before my exam. Passed on the first try. I think one of the first lessons in Real Estate is - work smarter, not harder, time is money. Thank you for sharing your path!

Monica! You are the perfect person to ask (I hope): I recently referred 3 different friends to 2 real estate agents. One was an acquaintance real estate agent but I knew she knew the area well so recommened her to friends. They bought a house from her. Then I referred two separate people to my real estate ( whom I have actually bought a townhouse from) agent and they both bought houses from him. The thing is: I never heard from the real estate agents after giving them my friends info. No thank you note or anything. What is the protocol when it comes to successful referrals? Am I being weird expecting a call or thank you note/text from the real estate agents? (🤔)I live in the Bay Area (CA).

This is the most realistic depiction of becoming a real estate agent I have ever heard!!! I just became a realtor in Michigan about 6 months ago and this literally describes it so well. I am finally coming to the part you were explaining in this video where you re-gain balance and realize where the priorities are. I'm doing my real estate exam on July 6-7th, it's two blocks of 6 hours, one day with the "buyer" and one day with the "seller"! I'm from Quebec, Canada and the exam sounds much different compared to yours! You also have to sign up and pass with a 6 month intensive full time residential teal estate school, or 1 year part-time before being able to sign up for the official exam. (It's literally like university for real estate, so you have multiple courses, mid terms, finals, all that jazz) We also have to wait 45-60 days after passing that exam to get our license!

I'm a real estate agent because I have a huge passion for homes in general which I think came from never having one of my own, so I love helping people get into theirs. I love making my own hours, and I'm a huge workaholic, so I don't have a boss sending me home because I'm in OT

I want to become a real estate agent because I want to both be on a team and have independence when it comes to working. I work in healthcare now, and I love it don't get me wrong, but it is SO VERY emotionally and physically draining when you really look deeper into the field, not that real estate would be easier, but I know the opportunities are endless. I would love to help others make huge life decisions like buying a house!

Such a cute vid btw you can easily get the bottoms of your pants tailored at any alteration place near you for around 10 bucks, and Uniqlo does pant tailoring for free for their stuff

So interesting to see going from KZitemr to real estate agent, that would be a good comparison to going from real estate agent to KZitemr like Graham Stephen.

I just started real estate back in December in Fayetteville, NC and I started because the job is semi-flexible, constantly changing, and I’m ALWAYS learning new things. For those studying for your exam-look up Travis Everette! He explains everything SO WELL!
