I really want to give this a go. People complain at how expensive these tables are to buy, they should watch this to see how much the materials are and how much time is spent making them. Great job

The best instructions ever! And believe me, I’ve watched LOTS of videos. The table is beautiful. In fact, my grandson wants a new desk and this was the design he chose. I know there are different finishes for tables and it was refreshing to see you not use resin on the top. I love resin , but it is expensive, especially for deep pours on large projects. I want my projects to look good, but not breaking my wallet. Excellent video. Thank you.

One of the few river table video's that i really really like. I love the honesty and the way you take us through your dilemma's. And what a gorgeous result! A tip. Please Google on epoxy and health. This is dangerous material. Good that you used gloves. But don't forget the fumes. Never use epoxy in an unventilated space and wear a respirator. Never ever sand epoxy again without a face mask. This is nasty stuff. Lung cancer is no joke, neither is epoxy eczema. Seeing you sand this without a face mask, really scared the hell out of me. Compliments from Holland.

Thanks for the comment. The lumber store is Goby Hardwoods in Oregon. They have the best selection of wood, especially walnut, that I've seen. People travel from all over the world to buy wood from them so I would definitely recommend them. They also have good pricing and no tax. Funny you mention the Festools. I was a bit intimidated at first when all the videos had people building these with them. But if my garage sale circular saw can do it I'm sure anyone else can 😊

Hey great tutorial and your table turned out gorgeous! One thing that I did notice when you were building your form and just what I do is for attaching the sides of the form and not worrying about the wood screws wandering and potentially coming through the base, I drill a pilot hole with a countersink attachement on the drill. From experience it works well. great tutorials and keep up the excellent work!!

You can take a buffer pad for a Floor buffer Cut it to fit your orbital palm sander take a little double sticky tape to hold an old rag on it you can use that to wipe off the hard wax finish works great
@AroundtheHouse

That’s a great idea Jason. I wanted to buy one of those converted floor buffers but they were so much money. I hadn’t thought about using it in the orbital. I’ll definitely try that. 😀
