I have been an a workout transformation and getting over my binge eating for a year now. My biggest tip is to not put that much thought into “no carb, no fat” and those types of mind sets, all foods are good in moderation, just make sure 80% of your meals are healthy and 20% is whatever you want

Exactly where I am at right now...I realized that tracking had become an obsession when my day was spent thinking about food portions and how many calories I was getting in each meals, what macros, all of that. I’m on the right path and I don’t want stress to get in the way of my progression. Even my trainer recommended me to stop tracking for now since I already have a good idea of what to eat by now but it’s hard to stop thinking about it...I notice I’m still doing it every time I eat or prepare a meal...how do you do it?

@@mariadocarmosarmento9487 this is my second week without tracking. The first one was tough, tbh. I started recreating everything that I was already doing previously. This week is going better. Thank you for inspiring me. I've been wanting to lose weight for so long, it's been hard to find the right workouts and the right diet, mostly because I realized they were good for the people who created them but not necessarily for me. It had to be a workout I enjoy and can do, my style of workout, and that it would work for me. Same thing with the diet: it had to be something that my body needs to reach my goals, something I enjoy, something healthy, and that it would work for me. Just because your diet and exercise routine works for you doesn't mean it works for me, so I had to look up for my own workout style and dieting. Your diet is unique and may not work for me, but it has inspired me to look up what foods I should eat that would be healthy for my body and help me reach my goals. Your workouts are enjoyable and my style, so I am doing those, but my first week was difficult because my legs became very sore and I had to rest for 3 days. I'm getting back at it on Monday, the 16th of February of 2021, so I can keep up with it. Anyway, thank you so much for inspiring me, it's been hard finding this kind of inspiration to get me to commit to a healthy lifestyle. Keep up the good work. PS: Sorry for making this comment so long.

The only HEALTHY relationship with food is intuitive eating, without thinking and without tracking macros. You just have to be connected with your body and don't do things that work against it
@maeghalanka9020
3 жыл бұрын
Don’t most people intuitively overeat though? That’s the whole issue that without thinking or tracking, food is too easily accessible for many of us.
@Wellwithkel
3 жыл бұрын
@@maeghalanka9020 I think that intuitive eating is listening when your stomach is full or listening to your body cues and being mindful. something learned overtime and I had to go through a bit before it helped me I made a video about it
@danielad-fit1527
3 жыл бұрын
For intuitive eating to be healthy, first you need to track macros at least for some 2 weeks, to better understand portion sizes and what is what. For someone who does not know nothing about nutrition and eats only what he wants, can end with burgers and chips.
@maeghalanka9020
3 жыл бұрын
@@danielad-fit1527 If you’re tracking portion sizes, to me that’s not really considered “intuitive” at all then.
@TheMarizzca
3 жыл бұрын
Actually no. If someone has over eaten for a long time, the hormones signaling if you're hungry or full are disturbed. If you say to that person to try intuitive eating, it wouldn't make them eat the right amount needed for their body. Also, if someone is obese or overweight and needs to lose weight, the body will try to maintain thus intuitive eating wouldn't work

my eating disorder and my excessive exercise addiction have gotten even worse ugh bc I can have control over certain things and it gives me a reason to be structured or wake up every day and a place where I can prove something. … I want to recover I want to get healthy again because I know my body is suffering and pushing yourself in an unhealthy way is very bad but I’m just so scared of change and 1. don’t know how to get rid of this mindset, 2. stop restricting and eating more, 3. gain weight again and start a healthy routine with exercise.. right now I still FORCE myself to exercise for hours and work out two times a day so basically punish my body and I wouldn’t say that I don’t enjoy exercising anymore but it’s like a chore and a way to measure my success and self worth. I know it’s more about your mindset and that skinny is not always a good thing and that you should love and treat your body right. I want to recover- eat freely and enjoy food but only in a healthy way. I never really crave food or can feel my appetite because I’m so used to eating little and it’s so hard for me to eat more in order to gain weight. I know life should be so much more but it’s so hard during covid times because exercise makes me feel accomplished and more worthy.. it’s become such a big part of my life and my identity and it’s a place where I can prove something to myself. unfortunately my mindset tells me that I need to earn or make up for eating, and measure out everything like even fruit ( ugh ridiculous i know ) and push myself to my limit when exercising. I tried reducing the amount of exercise but I feel worthless and like a failure afterwards. I keep telling myself that food is fuel and you need to get better and not restict and that change in my case is a good thing and that being very skinny is so bad and you shouldn’t define your worth on exercise or food. recover takes time though ://///
