As a money saving tip, you can rent this machine from walmart, lowes, costco, etc. Maybe not this exact model, but Lowes has one with a hand attachment like this one that can clean the mattress. It’s $30 for 24 hours, and they allow a second day for $10 more. I sound like an infomercial but just wanted to save yall some money and help the environment lol

I would like to add that this method should not be used on memory foam mattresses if anyone is thinking of this. I have a Temperpedic mattress which came with a mattress covering, In addition, I also have a waterproof cover over this. No water should be used on this type because there is no place for the water to go once it gets in the foam and then mold can set in. Glad you resolved your dirty mattress.

OMG I get this excited about being able to clean things really well too😂 I also feel the exact same way about a clean car. I just watched a video from someone who preaches about saving money and she said keep your car clean and you won’t want to replace it as much and I could not agree more. This is probably a big reason why you’re able to be a minimalist because what you have is well taken care of and therefore comfortable and not always causing a desire to replace it😃

All of these ingredients you can grab at dollar tree. Then dilute with water.

Dude, I subscribed JUST because of this girl's accent alone. Like, where are you from? That's a Brooklyn accent (Canarsie, I believe). I NEVER hear people speak with that accent in public, maybe I'm just in the wrong spaces. BTW, can I do this with say a "Dyson" or a "Tineco" vacuum or do I have to buy the carpet cleaner vacuum that you show in the video. I'm DEFINITELY buying that cleaning solution since you say that it's better than baking soda and vinegar.
@mistersadaimusic

Brooklyn? I could see confusing it for Queens, but this is 10000% a Boston accent.
@socl6534
2 жыл бұрын
@@mistersadaimusic Yea man. According to the College Professor in this video (kzitem.info/news/bejne/x5umzaiOo3igaoY) at the 1:15 mark, there isn't a huge difference between a Queens, Brooklyn or Long Island accent. Personally, I'm from Manhattan and really didn't know that those regions had their own unique sound. I didn't even know that I myself had an accent until myspace came out back in the mid 2000s and I started talking to some girl from Moline, Illinois and she told me to keep pronouncing "New York". Apparently native New Yorkers pronounce "New York" as "New Yawk". You're right though, the girl in this video here has a different accent than a typical New Yorker and I like it.
@Kyraann.
2 жыл бұрын
I'm from Boston :) I'm honestly not sure if those would work since the machine would have to be able to suck up water. I know a typical vacuum wont water proof so just be careful on that. Thanks for subscribing :) I appreciate the support.
@socl6534
2 жыл бұрын
@@Kyraann. Thanks Boston girl :) I did some research and I didn't know that there were 2 separate categories of vacuum cleaners (mainly "dry" and "wet dry") with subcategories within those 2. I just figured that since some Dysons are upwards of $700 that those models would be an all in 1 and be able to do everything. I was wrong and you can't get those wet. There's also risk of electrocution if you use a dry vac to vacuum up liquids, so I won't be doing that. I called Bissell directly and asked them which "wet dry" model was their best overall for deep cleaning a bed and the rep said that the "BISSELL SpotClean Pet Pro Portable Carpet Cleaner, 2458" was their current best "spot cleaner". He gave praise to the little green model that you speak of in this video and called it the "little green monster". It's their best "value" machine but doesn't have the best suction out of all of their models but definitely can do the job with enough passes and time. On a side note, a drill brush does WONDERS when deep cleaning a mattress and to keep your mattress clean after doing all of this, a "waterproof mattress cover" comes in handy. Hope this helps anyone else reading this who's deciding which machine to buy.

Ok so don't be ashamed, Mattresses getting dirty is a common thing. its going to happen over time, especially if you live in a humid environment. The only way to lengthen its 'cleanliness' would be to either thoroughly bathed (as in bath tub) at least once a week to remove built up dead flesh from your body. Something that doesn't happen easily by just showering. Or consistently change your sheets. Bi weekly in the least. And the fact is most people don't. Its all about preventing ones flesh from touching the mattress itself. We shed far more dead flesh than we think. And our bodies sweat in our beds more than we think hence the buildup of dirt. dont be ashamed its life. using products without the ability to suck it up and out of the mattress simply wont work. if anything using products that only wipe the surface ultimately makes matters worse. as the dirty liquid remains in the mattress and will eventually make its way to the surface. even dirtier than before.
