My hair dresser back when I was younger and couldn't do my own hair would braid my mom and I in less than 5 hours. We would go to her house at like 10am, she would talk on the phone, cook, sometimes eat and by 2 pm we would be on our way. Mom went for singles while I went for box and the magic was in her daughter having the exact same hand as her. So she would braid half way and her daughter would finish. Ionna realize how much she had spoiled me until I was looking for a next hair dresser and they all took like 4 to 8 hours on my head. Madness

Never had braids but I had dreads done. And honestly, I don't know how you do it. Couldn't sleep the first two nights, and the ITCHING. I always wanted dreads to tie me back to my Northern, Celtic and Proto Germanic roots. And seeing as I am in a predominantly black country, I had easy access to get it done in a very proper fashion. I made sure to ask if they were willing and if it was appropriate and they gladly did my hair. Albeit I was terrified. It was so wonderful and I miss having them. But by god, I really don't know how y'all manage, you guys are amazing. Love and laughter 💜
