Hear me out. I think it’s because of overthinking like Nick said. Nick didn’t overthink Mona Lisa, he just did it. He didn’t overthink the pizza shop video, it was just spontaneous. I’m realizing creating from a place of spontaneity, genuineness and not overthinking every little thing is so important. Great advice Nick. Love what you’re doing.

It's amazing what happens when you just show up and put in the work. I just posted a piece of content for a song that I know isn't quite where it needs to be quality wise, but it got over 22k plays and 175 likes on ig. I had never had a reel go over 1k plays or 20ish likes, so it was completely unexpected. But it shows me that I just have to keep improving and being consistent and the results will come when they come. Nic, thanks for all the value you provide in these videos! 💯

you're a really inspiration to how i go about creating my music now. i don't waste time over doing songs. i'm finally happy spending 1-2 hours on a song and releasing it. i've been getting better on doing my own producing and engendering and finally it's paying off, nothing more rewarding then sticking to it and being able to help others accomplish there dreams too. big ups brother !

True words. Thanks for sharing! In the end it is about creating (and releasing) music that one wants to create at that specific moment in our lives. Go with the flow, that is rewarding enough.

I can’t release a song a week, and probably not even a perfect every four weeks, but you inspired me to try to release as back to back as possible because if people don’t resonate with my song, and I only have one song out, it’s a dead end. The more I release, the more I grow, and the more I increase my chances
@TheExodusLost

The math just works out exponentially better when you have 100 songs instead of 1. So work towards that number. I’m doing one every two weeks it’s hard but it makes the math work out and from here Spotify will have time to add it to playlists because I now have a backlog of 2-3 songs set to go live every two weeks. Even a month is good but that’s literally half the songs, so the math is half as good at best
@VictoriaWhitlock
3 ай бұрын
@@TheExodusLost yeah the math seems to be mathing in regards to that lol. That’s good! I need a backlog but I guess it’s hard for me cause I record and edit everything nearly one by one and I’m nit-picky. And then combining that with constantly posting on social media, it’s a lot. But it’s getting done I guess. I could be better at posting though

If you’re speaking about when tested utilizing his network of social media influencers on 1 song I already made a video about that. It’s titled “I spent 4000 to promote my song” or something like that. The trouble is even though I didn’t find any tangible value in their social media influencer campaign that I ran with them for Fine Apple, they still get to put me on their website and take credit.
