I'm not trying to offend anyone or cause a negative influence on traveling or living in China but the reality is, this had a huge impact on my life. I've kept it a secret for over a year and a half now and I think it's a story that deserves to be told. My intention with this video is not to blame China, scams happen everywhere. But this particular type of scam is unfortunately pretty common in China and there are steps you can take to avoid making these mistakes. My goal with this video is to help inform people thinking about living in China, what not to do essentially. And if they do happen to fall victim, here's what you should do. Even though this happened, I did the best I could to look past it, as these people don't represent China, and I was able to see the good in the country.
