You did such a great job Mike. As a diehard Tom Morello fan myself, I'm glad you were able to get this together. You completely rocked the place. Great job, and congrats

I just discovered it and you, the fact that Tom gave you the spot to play guitar and the crew giving you their props and due is some humbling stuff. You killed it man. Wishing nothing but the best and I’m super happy for you.

As a bass player, I will be more carefull about doing versions of Tim's songs LoL. It is incredible that they thought on you if Tom couldn't finish the show. In fact so few people is capable to replace Tom. This recognition I believe is the kind of highlight that is very difficult to have one better, but I know that you will try this good challenge.

I also watched the video and Tom was smiling during your performance. He felt a connection with you. I'm glad there's a backup guitarist when Tom is injured. You did Bulls justice!!! I applaud that Tom chose you and not some other person. I'm guessing that you were in the front row and Tom looked over and he pointed at you. Anyway, good job on playing when Tom was taking a break. Tom was playing the rhythm part while you were playing the lead part. Also, you killed the solo!!!! Even Tom was smiling during that part as well and even impressed. Good job again!!!!

Congrats again for playing Bulls and even getting to play on the real Arm the Homeless guitar!!!! Check that off the list, playing with the Prophets of Rage and with your hero, Tom Morello!!!

That's so awsome ! So you didn't have no opportunity to warm up and you didn't know in advance what song they'll pick up. Plus the extra pressure from Tim ;-) You've got some serious skills for sure, and they also knew how to welcome you. I'm thinking 'bout Brad at start of th song, you are talking together and then it starts. Later in the song there is a break which they underline a little, but it doesn't matter because you were really there and you killed it. You rocked it hard mate. Congrats again !

Is it difficult to play the original 'Arm the Homeless' guitar ?? Even if you have the perfect replica, there are always differences esp. the height of the strings, or the strings themselves which can make it hard to handle, esp. for technical parts/shredding ... but you properly killed as it was Business as usual :-) I think Tom plays Earny Ball 10-46 but IDK about you and this takes time to get used to when it's not the same
@mikesvensson
6 жыл бұрын
it wasn't difficult at all. haha :P i agree with you that no matter much you like a certain player, everyone has different preferences. but to be honest it was like an old friend, everything felt so natural, like if it was a regular thing..very strange but that's how it was. he does use 10-46 on some of his guitar yes =)

Yeah, great skills and obviously awesome situation but.. I don’t know. For sure it was a dream coming true, every guitarist would have the chance to play with Tom. I don’t really like the fact that you have the same movements, the same dress code as Tom (my personal opinion). It seems that you don’t have a personal identity, tying always to emulate him. No offense intended, only my thoughts
@NWOWCW4Life1
5 жыл бұрын
Joshua Reed It does seem like so but I think he was just a huge fan. He has clearly studied Morello’s style and so on. Unless he’s trying to steal Tom’s identity altogether as actual name and so on, I don’t think he is trying to steal his name and his rep. I would say it’s quite something honorable or humbling Tom offering Mike the spot with his guitar and such especially when it wasn’t needed. Mike certainly delivered when the time called for sure. I wish the guy the best and as a Rage fan, I’m super stoked he got to achieve a dream many fans would of wished to have done. The only nitpick is I wish Zack was with them too. Imagine how he would of reacted with the crew.
