Great video very informative. I learned how to grow cauliflower here in Florida the hard way I experimented with different varieties and the one that grows best for me is the Durgesh 41 variety from Baker Creek. it is a heirloom from India and produces the biggest heads of white cauliflower, they are mostly self blanching. you should try them.

OMG your plants are Hugh! And I love the way your shirt coordinates so well with the veggies 😆. Can’t wait to try growing some of your purple cauliflower this fall. Thanks so much for sharing your expertise and seeds with us. I know that when I buy your seeds the plants will grow here in Florida (with your guidance of course 👩🏻🌾).

I am in Florida also. I tried to grow cauliflower last year, but I found out that squirrels love the leaves and ate them all. Do you have problems with squirrels? If you have a tip for them to leave my crops alone. Please share. Thank you.

I love cauliflower! I grew about 12 last fall and they were beautiful. I even ate the leaves as cooked greens and I shredded the stem like cauliflower rice. It was all very tasty too! I’m growing them again this fall. I enjoy growing the snowball as well in my east Texas garden heat (almost into Louisiana) it did great!

Hi Jenna. I started my cauliflower 1/23/24. Its so stunted. Its only 2” tall. It has plenty of light in my greenhouse/lighting. Should I start over? Or feed with diluted liquid fert.? The only thing I can figure is the special seed starting mix a friend made to start them in

Hi. What state and garden zone are you? Usually, they get stunted if exposed to too much heat.

PERFECT TIMING on this video! I just grew and harvested my VERY FIRST CAULIFLOWER this past month! I was wondering about those side shoots.... nothing was happening but I was in wait-and-see mode till you confirmed! 😍 Thanks Jerra!

Most cauliflower doesn't produce side shoots like broccoli does. If yours does, please let me know the name of the cultivar your growing.

@@JerrasGarden it did not. I waited for something else to happen but, of course, it never did.
