My mother in law is the best thing that ever happened to me. Sooo lovely, calm, joyful, respectful, very caring, prayerful and sincere. She helps me a lottttttt in the house. She has been staying with me since the birth of my first child and i never mind her staying. I like it. Its been 5 years. I even think that if she leaves I might suffer more. She is just precious. I love her and very proud to show her off. She is very cute too. 63 looking like 47. Just a pure soul. All what I can say is thank you Lord.

In my opinion, ill state a few things I picked from here, (that helped Morayo): 1. Her Mum helped a great deal, thank God for mums like that. 2. She's matured to sieve out advice, not allowing friends' advice to jeopardize her home and future. 3. Her maturity. 4. Her husband's love - If her husband does not love her, she would've been out of that house. 5. There's Money to put a lot of things in place. - Else, all these things will not work. I learned a lot from this. Thanks, Sis Morayo, and bigger thanks to the host.

I really miss my mother in-law. But unfortunately, things didn't work out well. 1. The husband is the main player here. Firm and a good leader 2. The wife must have a job that she is not always in the house with them. She must also be well brought up 3. There must be enough finance to feed everyone comfortably 4. There must be househelps to do every little chore not expecting the wife to take care of everyone or the mother in-law acting like a senior maid. If all these are fixed, no matter the calm or wicked mother in-law, things will work out.

This interview contains a wealth of wisdom for the single and married, honestly it was quite enriching. I have subscribed to this edifying channel. Honestly, all I got from this is that this life, handling the delicate relationships that come with it, all requires wisdom. May God help us. And God, may we marry husbands that are sensible and understand how to set boundaries. Thank God for the life of all involved - I like that it's not like Morayo's mum-in-laws started saying maybe she bewitched the husband because of how firm he is.

Morayo you are an inspiration. Real words of wisdom to guide women. Mother inlaws are a blessing, and should be treated with love and respect after labouring to raise their child turned adult, who is now our spouse, it's a gift. Most women have problems because they use the assumptions in society about MILs to relate with their mother in laws. Treat her with love and patience and you will enjoy her. Even when there are disagreements settle it with love and without bitterness. I enjoyed a great relationship with my mother in law, but we lost her in 2002, and I wish she lived longer to enjoy the fruits of her labour.

Thank God for The Holy Spirit, I've learnt to forgive and operate in wisdom with her. Thank God too for Mentors it has helped my husband and he is better but we can't deal with living with mil yet. You've painted a most beautiful relationship (not perfect) but its so beautiful....what a legacy it is for the kids! And what a testimony it is for us watching!!! God bless you!!! It is not that couples that need their space from in-laws are bad people because some couples even decide not to have children early in their marriage so that they can enjoy the first and two years of their marriage. The most important thing is when a man is a discipline and firm individual it will be easier for the wife because she will be alright knowing her husband can handle the situation and control it wisely unlike a mummy's boy husband that everything the mother does is not to be questioned.

I like her realness and openness most times we criticise people because we are not in their shoes ,even when we are in their shoes we do worst and we come outside to condemn people. And quote scriptures, the interviewer quoted a scripture and also said should people base on that scripture ? but she still maintain her words that it is an individual things that it depend on the man, (my take on this nobody should use right, entitlement or manpower to overshadow another person's peace of mind) Morayo didn't paint herself a to a saint I like her for that

Her mother in law reminds me of my mother. My own mother came to my house from Nigeria when I had a baby and she didn't even help. I had to do everything myself. She will even sit for me to serve her food first even when my baby is crying. When her visit visa expired,I didn't even bother to extend it oo. So when I had my next baby, she so wanted to come but I didn't allow her because it wouldn't be practical for me to stress myself at that stage especially when my husband isn't helpful either. My mother in law would even do better than her in area of at least bathing my newly born baby(my guess sha).

Some of you are lucky. I and hubby had a quarrel yesterday because of his mum. Some mothers just feels that their sons married a househelp or nanny to the family and not wives. And me, I'm a kind of person who doesn't know how to please people. I clearly told hubby that I'm in that house for him and my relationship with him is not a family project. I clearly told his mum that I'll be doing a 7 days fast and would need time for myself, she called me dis afternoon and my phone was on silent, I fell asleep while praying. I woke up and d calls and went to check up on her, she wasn't at home. That one now became a problem for mother and son. I wake up at 4am most times to prepare food for everyone, and I'm still doing chores even when her grandchildren goes to school. I make lunch for them so that I'll be able to rest at least till evening before I prepare dinner, but this woman, when a visitor comes, she'll call me out to trek under the hot sun to go and buy drinks, as matured as I am. My mum can't even do that to me or anyone, she respects people's privacy a lot. It's very annoying, I've been bottling up a lot of trash from this house and I know that one day I'll explode, anything that wants to happen should happen. The woman just wants to control everybody, especially her son and he's her last born.

I've been up since 2am crying, I also slept off while crying. Some mother in laws are just not it. I work sometimes the extent that even hubby kneels down and starts apologising for making me go through such stress, yet his mum doesn't see my effort. And she seemed all nice initially, nonsense

The introduction alone concluded what I want to say about women ‘that want their mother-in-laws to died or don’t want to have good relationship with them is such unfortunate thing to hear from a lot of women’s today who are actually ‘potential mother-in-laws’. We women need to do better by training ourselves and mind to be good mother-in-laws to save the lives of our sons. We are just being selfish, because we want the best for our daughters in their husband’s house but causing troubles in their son’s house. God help women🙏🙏🙏

A man should listen to your opinion because you’re a part of his life, he is kind and he loves you not you working to make him see he should respect you. The way she also said they got into a fight that he almost hit her makes me scared of him. I hope she’s good tho?
