You can add variations in color and motion, it will give even more variety! 🤩

You could add an in index to every color and shift the indices of the colors used by a random amount. Possible amount of combinations would go through the roof.

but how did you make the script that changes equips at random? Your videos are very helpful every time, so keep up the good work!

I don't know how he did it, but i would add a Script to the plain Character itself and load a list of all Models from their folder (like res://hats, res://faces, res://accessoire and res://backpack). After that i would just pick a random Model from every List and instantiate it as a child of the character.

Sooooo cute! I guess the result of you blender-work was one figure with all the assets being able to turn on and off, or did you assemble them all by hand in godot?

Argh, can't run it, as i'm on a mac. Can Godot also export mac builds on windows or is a mac required for this?
@MechanicaMenace

You can sort of, but you need a Mac to sign and notarize the bundle or Gatekeeper will kick up a fuss.
@Phaix

@@MechanicaMenace The Gatekeeper isn't a problem as long as there is an Mac build. If you using a Mac you normally know how to get around these simple issues 😉

@@Phaix seriously you'd think so but most Mac users get stumped by the untrusted source dialogue if they can even get far enough to see that. Mac users are a weird group, lots are technically very proficient but the majority don't even know how to drag and drop a bundle to install it. There doesn't seem to be a middle ground.
@Phaix

@@MechanicaMenace That i can't confirm. I know many young mac users that don't fit in your lets say "aged" view on mac users. Some years ago i would have fully confirmed, but the landscape changed and with new and old users get its hands on macs this changed. I also changed my mind after i had to use a mac, and now i love it. In its core a unix system with the convenience of a desktop system.

@@Phaix personally my experience is much different. Release anything for Mac and the 3 Mac users who download it will bitch more and cause more headaches than the Linux users, and unlike the Linux users their feedback isn't generally useful. Just "It's a virus, it's trying to make me turn off security features!!!" when they have their settings to only allow launching programs from the app store. Also Apple hate games and so do most Mac users. That combined with the fact that in real life (rather than online) I've only met two people who have a Mac, and one of them is me, says even just building something for Mac is pointless. And this is from someone who actually uses a Macbook to develop on. Macs are indeed cool. But the OS is total shite that hasn't had a worthwhile update in 20 years. Asahi makes a Mac usable. Most Mac users are still useless. And the younger ones are worse than the older ones.
