Tip: Add some mousse just before you put the wrap on, it will hold it down making it look tidier when you take it off.

Because brushing your braids is ridiculous. You’re promoting frizz. Then you’re putting product on a style where it will build up. So not only do you frizz your hair once the product leaves, but you just packed that shit into your braids.

I'm learning that maintaining braids/twists/locs is far easier than keeping waves. I'll take a quick ten minute moisture session over 45 minute brush sessions any day.

@@Bruh-gl2gm just learn how to do it yourself. I have 5-6 inches of hair (blown out) and I when I had at least 3 inches of hair all you need to do is section it out. Just look up a tutorial and it saves ALOT

Good tips! I like to wash my scalp and then twist and set the front row (not too much tension) just to make the front row look a bit nicer. Scalp care is key with braids! (:

I personally love the nappy frizz braid look. Cause it doesn’t necessarily mean you don’t take care of your hair cause it’s frizzy Them be the ones with the most new growth and for the most part implies you’ve had your braids in for a while. Some do it for growth some do it for style.

I recommend oil your scalp right after you've done. Use a oil/moisturizer that works best for you. For me personally thick oil dries up and causes my hair to flake and itch. I use lighter oils or lotions. Also ensure you have them wash your hair properly before starting the twist.

yes any hair type can get braids or twists when you shower use a shower cap and when you sleep use a bonnet not a durag cs they annoying but be careful when showering as straight comes out easier
