I see that you guys noticed the gloves, BUT this was when men were men, and eyes were easily replaceable - no eye protection - (from a retired Fire/Medic). Novel production technique.

beautiful hands of precision...off recently i was supplied wrong piston rings for my velocette the Radial depth of those piston rings is more by 20 thousands of an inch- wonder how could i make it back to the desired size

Although that sounds like a great idea. But it doesn’t work all the time. That’s like someone explaining a hunt they did on an elk and then you commenting that sounds fun but why don’t you just buy some elk from the store. For some rare/old engines they just don’t make parts for them readily available.
