Krashens input theory, learn vocabulary with an SRS system, listen and understand and do not speak until you are fluent( other than practicing pitch accent, and pronunciation etc)

11:00 You have awesome taste in Japanese music! I would love to hear or see a video just on your favorite Japanese bands and songs so I can find more of them!
My son(6) and I recently discovered your channel. He loves the way you speak and recently used Japanese vowel and consonant sounds to pronounce english words on his own! I was shocked!!! We are American but I toured japan numerous times as a musician and have a deep appreciation of the culture. Thank you!
たぶん私はスティーブさんと同じ年代なので(1968年生まれ)、私も英語を学ぶ時に同じように音楽と歌詞カードと辞書で勉強しました! その時によく聞いて勉強したのがHuey Lewis and The News, Don Henley(boys of summer), Boyz Ⅱ men, Chicago あたり。 自分が英語を勉強していた若いころを思い出しました(^_-) 楽しい動画いつもありがとう!
*Steve's Japanese is on another level. LOL, I always feel like he is talking to his Japanese audience first and everyone else second. Even in these language advice videos. LOL.*
Great tips! I never thought of using music as a learning method. I have a bunch of old city pop cassettes that I listen to, I'm gonna go get the lyric sheets that came with them and read along now!
