Not only can you be in danger from withdrawal symptoms, you also have the potential to permanently close those neural pathways if you ever wanted to use that med in the future. I learned this from having a roommate who took mental health meds.

Thank you Jess for sharing this with the KZitem world. Gut Health should be treated as important as mental health. Movement helps a lot. Walking at least 10 minutes a day has helped a lot. I am encouraged by your video to do my own research as well. Thank you so much, Jess. ❤

It does Jess. I deal with some of the same things. Proud of you for stepping to talk about it. I take plan magnesium has help with constipation and mode plus other symptoms muscles spasms etc. . I tried pill apple cider and noticed a difference in blotting. Never be embarrassed to talk about something we are born with trying to find the best way to overcome it and or deal with it. It's other people that don't understand it . We know fully what is is it is different for everyone. It's nice to have some where to watch that doesn't have all the bs on t/v with happy thoughts and uplifting. Thanks

My experience: I found out I have celiac disease and my biggest symptoms are fatigue, depression and anxiety. Once I started eating gluten free it was a 180 difference. However, I’ve heard TONS of stuff about gluten intolerance and gluten sensitivity which can cause mental health issues and lots of other problems. 1000000% gut health and mental health go hand in hand! For most cases I would say

By sharing your experiences and how you dealt with it, I call it a game changer for me personally. I'm planning on doing my own research about gut health and diet and incorporating some of the things you talked about in this video. I have never worked on my gut health before and figuring out how to help my mental health. I can't thank you enough for doing this video and sharing your experiences about this very important topic for women's health. Oh, Happy day! you're on your way to a happy and enjoyable life. Oh I feel you I had strep infections and gained weight the antibiotic I was given made me bloated, and unfortunately some doctors here in US don't tell you need to take probiotic or eat it when you are on antibiotics. Yes, Gut affects our moods I know it is a drastic jump for some people but I became a vegetarian and I give up gluten for 2 years, and it helped with my gut and bloating.

You might check in purchasing milk from a local dairy. They process it different from the big box milk dairies. My husband had a terrible reaction to the big box dairies ( sore throat/ ear troubles) and since he started drinking that specific type of milk, he has not had any sort of reactions to it. It might be worth looking into. Thanks for the advice!!!

I dont know that I have depression, but there is a lot of stress in my life. Im related to narcissists and Ive known toxic people through out my life. For the most part, I enforce boundaries, but every now and then something gets slipped and it wreaks havoc. I know I need to try cutting sugar out (I havent drank any cokes in over a decade and I dont drink alcohol), but I cant cut every single toxic person out. Not yet anyway. One food that helps with my stomach is seafood. I apologize to anyone who is allergic to shellfish. I started listening to and reading Dr. John Delony a lot this year. Thankfully, I had already been doing this when he said when you’re tired, grumpy or angry, go do a new chore. He also lifts weights. It’s the moving around. Moving around absolutely helps me when anxiety increases. Yeah, it’s very unfortunate when it comes to my Niece’s birthday, activities and Christmas.

Oh man, I have sooo much to say. There is 💯 a brain gut connection! My story shortened: depression, constipation, cycle issues etc for as long as I can remember (almost 43yrs old now). Last few years got SO bad! On my own searching I have found the connection with (most specifically) dairy & carbs. I even went to a gastroenterologist, with no real answers (just a fat bill). I’m better than I’ve been, but haven’t stayed consistent and it’s starting to show. This video is a good reminder for me to dig deeper, do more & be more consistent. It is hard but I know it’s worth it! There is a Andrew Hubberman podcast with Dr Chris Palmer that talks about some of this. That podcast coupled with previously running across Mikhaila Peterson’s early story of dairy effecting her is what really opened my eyes. I could go on and on but I want to thank you for talking about this!

I have never felt so seen. Thanks so much for sharing, Jess! I have dealt with persistent depression disorder for 10 years and have only been diagnosed with IBS-C gut-wise. I had PMDD starting around 5 years ago and thankfully was able to mostly treat that by going to counseling, but I still deal with persistent depression, which is very similar to how you were feeling with never feeling the “highs” of feelings. I felt the same way for my wedding day, and I fear when my husband and I have kids, I won’t have the highs of their births, milestones, etc like I should have. With my gut health, I can relate a lot with constipation, being bloated, and in pain. I recently got tested for food allergies and sensitivities and lost hope, because I wasn’t allergic to anything, and the couple of things that I was supposed to cut from my diet completely are things that aren’t even in my diet to begin with. I felt like I was back to no answers, but you have revived my hope that someday I can maybe beat all of this! I hope and pray that you continue to feel good and that your story is able to help tons of people! ❤️ So glad there are people like you out there who are willing to share these things!

As someone who has had depression/anxiety since I was about 17 years old (I'm 28 now) I can totally relate to this! When I eat certain foods it actually makes me feel worse. The foods in America such as cheese totally bloat you with all the additives/processing of foods. I'm a vegetarian and eat very healthy and workout everyday by walking/running 3-6 miles a day and has helped my mental health more than anything. I used to have THE worst constipation when I was a child and you're right it's all to the gut health. I can resonate with you 100%

Jess!! All of these symptoms sound like they could be helped, probably even SOLVED with a combination of intermittent fasting (I HIGHLY recommend the book Fast Like a Girl by Dr. Mindy Pelz) and the carnivore diet (Steak and Butter Gal and Dr. Ken Berry on KZitem are wonderful resources)! I had a lot of the same issues for a long time and started these two things almost a year ago, and now my overall health is the best it’s ever been. So so much science backing these up. I’m happy you’re doing better now! I hope you’ll look into what I’ve shared and do more research!! There’s Facebook groups and so much community with this, so know you’re not alone!!
