Hey thank you for sharing I noticed on thing that you might want to take a note of yourself. Great idea with the hockey pock, but instead of having on slot cut out on the top why not have two pucks with slots cut? Put one facing the other way and you don't have to worry about any wobble no matter what side it kicks out too. I have been thinking of doing pressing and at this stage I am taking everyone's ideas and pondering what I want done. So thank you for sharing again, and I hope my idea helps, as yours sure as hell helped me!

Thanks for the video brother! Whar size PVC did you get? Also where did you get your metal plates? Ive made one of these before but never used the plates. Thats a good idea. You use practice pucks correct? Also wondering if you can cut these into slices, or if they just fall apart? Cheers! ✌️🔥💨

3 inch PVC. I ordered flat bar stock from Amazon and cut them out. Yes, practice pucks. The tobacco came out like a crumble cake. Thank you for watching.

@The_Southland_Piper oh ok. Are all half-inch PVCs the right diameter for the pucks? My only issue is that I don't have a way to cut metal like that, haha. I'd have to use plastic lids or something cut to diameter. idk. Cuz when I made mine, I had the issue you solved with the metal disks. My pucks would slip sideways a bit and get off alignment, not pressing even. Would have been better if I had someone who could weld the ball joint on the end of the C-Clamp from moving, maybe.

@@mrpipestache2423 Sorry but I told you the wrong size PVC. It is 3 inch. The same size as the hockey puck.

Hooo-IE, lol... I'm not looking up pressing in regard to Latakia, mostly others probably but... I just tried a bit of latakia just now. Just the amount considered "a condiment" in Lane HGL... I'd hate to smell what a "latakia bomb" is like, lol! I'll need to start out using the whole blend as a condiment to get used to latakia. I like the idea of some smokey stuff, like in cold weather, but without extra nicotine as dark fired stuff is described. I've never tried dark fired Virginia since I'm a lower nicotine guy, but I wondered if it was smokey like this. It sure has character, lol. Re: pressing things... how serendipitous my garage gets about 102F a lot in the summer. Seems close enough to try without added heat...? Thanks much! I blended aromatics and left them a long time and they just so happened to become amazing, probably breaking all kinds of rules. Thought I might try pressing some. I always go back to the sweet ones of which non-smokers like the room note, but maybe I'll evolve away from it. What a nice Variac!! Looks like something for ham radio or Lichtenburg art, hehe. 73, W4VEY (who needs to renew and upgrade).

So I have no idea if this is true but I have heard its not the best to press in a PVC tube due to some of the properties of the PVC that can leach into the tobacco. Have you heard about this?
