I definitely wouldnt recommend translating back to the native language...try studying through your 2nd language if necessary(translate to native only in emergencies) Of course the best way to study is to completely disregard your native or 2nd language when studying a new language.. after you have BASIC grammar down

I teach Korean, and seeing all the effort and time you invest in learning Korean makes me happy and think about how much my students must've tried outside the classroom. I can't agree more with not using English when you can, especially because English and Korean are so incompatible in pronunciation and meaning... For that reason, I also ALWAYS tell my students NEVER TO ROMANIZE Korean pronunciation!!! If you are in college, check out the ESL program at your school and see if there is language exchange offered by them, or some universities have toturing center where they may have Korean included. :)

Girl, I'll tell ya, the tip about Papago... it's a game changer. Thank you. I have a helpful tip to share with you in return. Korean keyboard: In iOS or PC, you can easily activate a Hangul layout as a second language. There will be a quick key assigned that will let you swap over between the two very quickly. Get some stickers or new keycaps for your keyboard that include Hangul characters. It makes computer studying much easier when you don't have to fiddle with copy/paste. I love my new keycaps and they come backlit as well. ^_^ Cheers!

Thanks for your tips, Even if you are not using romanisations, your Korean (just the 2 syllables you mentioned) seem to still have a strong "English" way of pronunciation (maybe you were doing it in purpose); how about show us a video how you speak it? and yes to an earlier comment, I agree that Korean Unnie is a really good channel, her videos are crisp, quick and native, and she explained the way each "Korean alphabet" is pronounced from a linguistic perspective and distinguishes it from an "English" alphabet pronunciation.

Heey! It's so nice to see that you are still learning Korean so consistently -that's what's been most difficult for me so far. I really loved your first video, which inspired me to do the same to my HTSK notebook, and try to use as much as possible for my TTMIK one (I'd already started that one so it was mostly highlighting consistency). It was super helpful to me and I still really like the method : ) I try to do the same with fanarts vs. full comics, especially when they are shorter 1 / 1-4 images, I am only just starting (L3 on HTSK) but because I am very audiovisual in my learning I've picked up quite a bit of vocab from BTS -thank BH for the endless content- and from K-Dramas so I try to identify all the words I recognize/know and infer the meaning before actually looking at the translation or translating myself on papago. Anyways I guess I just wanted to say 감사합니다, 블르쓰 빈님!

Hi, I'm new to ur channel. I also watched both videos. It was really cool to actually see examples of notes from someone learning Korean. I've always enjoyed taking notes growing up in school. & whatever topic we were studding, it was pretty straight forward. But it's a little different I think w/ learning a language. But, I never learned a foreign language b4. So I don't exactly know how to go about doing it. That's y I wanted to see how others were taking notes. So I could figure out how I wanna structure my notes & study routines. But I'm excited to start learning languages. :)
