color grading is easily the easiest thing to do, just have to find a style niche of your own, it is always better to create your own style as a stand out and stamp on your work.

In the thumbnail youre shooting horizontally, but did you shoot this vertically or horizontal and then format it for vertical in post?

Can you make a tutorial about editing in general? I am wanting to learn how people cut to music and pace things and even how they cut without music. Like not exactly one specific transition but how to have things feel timed well feeling flowy but not predictable and boring.

Love this type of video! Like with the hand-covering-the-lens-transition, I often mess up shots and need to fix it in post and thought, I would be the only one 😅 Awesome Content Gaku!

Thanks for the breakdown. Super helpful. It looks like you shot all vertical, do you ever shoot landscape and crop so that you have the various formats? Did you know going into the shoot that you were delivering vertical? Thanks again
@GakuLange

I do sometimes! I usually prefer to shoot the output format natively - this was purely for social so I shot it vertically

did you scout the locations yourself? I appreciate it a lot that you don‘t only show the editing process but also the preproduction and your thoughts while shooting! always feel a little lost while shooting, not knowing exactly what I want or how I should do it, so seeing this is helping a lot! kinda takes pressure of my shoulders :) xo

Thanks for this video! Really educated and help a lot in understanding these kind of shoots! Have one question! Are the scene sequence already planned out before the shoot, so that you can shoot the transitions (pan directions) needed, or do you just take more shots during the shoot?
@GakuLange
2 ай бұрын
for some transitions I had some sequences in mind like the ramp around the wall - but most transitions weren’t pre-planned and were improvised by shooting more footage and angles than I needed at each location

Thank you! The masterclass goes more into detail over the various aspects of building a sustainable freelance career as well as includes a whole client project from start to finish with an in depth client discussion breakdown - preproduction - shooting demonstration - as well as edit breakdown on top of the other modules. Think of the course videos as more detailed and comprehensive KZitem videos!
