This video was just what I needed! My IBS has taken over my life and given me such bad health anxiety, especially when travelling. I'm always torn between wanting to travel and wanting to avoid a flare up, so thank you for giving me hope and showing that it is possible for life to go on with IBS! X

I'm really enjoying your videos (and your blog), I've watched a ton of them since I discovered you a couple of days ago! It's so nice to know that there's other people out there with the same problems and seeing that you still do all the things you want to do makes everything seem far more positive! Thank you so much for talking about this

This is such a helpful video! And you are so so right about confiding in your travel companions. Since starting my KZitem channel about ibs/lowFODMAP/vegan it’s made me be way more open with everyone about it and I didn’t anticipate just how much stress and embarrassment it would take away. It’s funny that by trying to avoid embarrassment & keeping it secret, I was actually making it worse 🤦♀️ Thanks for being open about IBS online xx

thank you for this video. however, i don't think those of us who have more than two trigger foods can pull this off as easily. if you can't have onion or garlic, for example, good luck eating out pretty much anywhere in the world. as for handing out business cards in restaurants, it would take a freakin' scroll to list all i cannot eat ! 😂😭

I am new to your channel and I decided to subscribe to you and follow you on Twitter and Instagram after I booked to attend your BlogConLDN event (I have sent you an e-mail asking if I need to send you a link to my blog and social media channels to ensure entry to the event). As for this video I saw on your Instagram bio that you have IBS. One of my friends on Facebook has it and one way she copes with the stomach pains that come with it is by placing a microwaveable wheat pouch on her stomach. I like the idea of you ordering multilingual business cards from Vistaprint to hand in to restaurant staff in different countries to inform them of your IBS and special dietary requirements.

Love your idea of a food diary! I need to keep better track of what makes me ill, or conversely, feel great. Thanks for sharing your IBS story so often on your channel!

Do you avoid eating eggs entirely or just avoid eating eggs by themself?

These are some great tips - I LOVE the idea of carrying a food intolerance card in the local language for traveling! Staying in routine and eating regularly is quite important to help manage symptoms, not just while traveling but at home as well and I advise my IBS clients to carry safe food snacks with them too. Is your IBS now fully under control?

Such an informative video! I was first diagnosed with IBS 7yrs ago and then a year later I was rushed to hospital with a bowel obstruction and then found I had Crohn’s disease, with our Florida holiday booked for july this year I’m very nervous trying not to think about it but im sure the night before or the morning of, anxiety is going to be through the roof but will have hubby and kids with me so hopefully be able to stay calm and try to enjoy the trip and holiday! It helps to see others who have similar symptoms be able to have an enjoyable holiday even with medical issues. Thank you for doing this video xx

Scarlett London I think my anxiety for the holiday won’t be about the food as I know what I can eat now, it’s the bathrooms especially in the parks, as I’ve never been before I always panic what they are like and if they will be close by. Will have to have a quick scope round before getting into the holiday I think 😊
