you didn't really say how you get noticed by specific schools though. my son is on twitter and field level, which both seem to be providing very good exposure. we are finding that the club "top team" is basically the bigger kids but not always the best players... there seems to be an obsession with kids already in their man bodies yet we also hear that the younger looking great player is more appealing... bottom line think deeply if that $5k per year program is even going to help your son with college contacts/exposure. the fear of missing out is a constant issue as well...there are minimal solid options for summer outside of the club model in our area.

Good advice. Also worth mentioning ... More and more elite players are committing to D1 mid major programs as they have a greater opportunity to play sooner than later. Often, I hear of a kid committing to a P5 program who either doesn't play until their junior year or never gets an opportunity to play at all.
