it's kind of important to mention why it works, maybe they didn't know back then, but essentially it helps mitochondria function and increases blood flow. So perhaps they need reclassify Alzheimer's as brain cell mitochondria disfunction and approach treatments that way.

The other thing I can not stress enough, is distilling your own water at home. I have two distillers and 15 one gallon glass jugs and one huge mason jar that I store it. I prefer keeping them on the cool tile all year, as we don't need ice. Though, lol my husband does make ice out of the distilled water. There is hope with using these... I actually improved my Mums dementia and her ability to draw was also improved in a comparable way. I did a lot of things like improving her diet, cutting out gluten, going organic, exercise along with a lot of other things and when her GP asked me what was the one single thing that I thought made the difference I couldn’t give the right answer because I didn’t know though I thought it was from eating lots of organic apples which also helped to get her cadmium levels down. Now nine years later she has declined at half the normal rate but now I know it’s most likely the sun light that she was getting here In sunny Australia during our daily bush walks. It seems that treating the bowels with infra red dramatically improves gut health which may also help a number of neurological conditions, trials are in place at this time. This information could be useful for NASA as long duration space missions like two year return trips to Mars could take it’s toll on the mental health of astronauts.

@@gtmorgan6864 I didn’t get her any infra light treatment from any medical professionals, I’m just assuming that she got a good dose naturally from our long daily bush walks. We did get considerable help in a number of ways from a naturopath though. The naturopath got us off gluten which seems to be one of the causes of Alzheimer’s, corrected her copper/zinc levels as the copper was too high, reduced her elevated cadmium levels which like high copper is bad for the brain as well as corrected our vitamin D levels and our diet to cut back on foods that cause inflammation as well as improve gut health, it’s all a bit much to write about though. I personally believe that going organic is helpful if you can and my gut instinct tells me that the organic apples we were eating played a big part in her improvement. I believe in the Leaky gut, leaky brain theory a bit too. I also think that mercury and heavy metals are a contributor, then that sometimes seems to attract a candida gut overgrowth, or some other things can lead to leaky gut which for some people and toxins or bacteria whole proteins possibly gut through the gut wall causing them to be recognised as something that shouldn't be there. causing inflammation. This could be why coconut oil and water high in silica seem to help. People who are trying to detoxify from mercury toxicity recommend infra red saunas,..to help to remove toxins, heavy metals. Two years later( now 2024) has the therapy been implemented on a wide scale? Are we seeing cures or major improvements in huge numbers of patients with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s? Since the treatment has zero adverse side effects, there’s no reason not to have treated millions of people with these conditions.

Don't know but fyi, there was a published paper 5-10 yrs ago detailing a small study of peope with Parkinson's. The goal of the study was to demonstrate whether the regular use of light boxes that have been well established as helping people with seasonal affective disorder (SAD) would similarly help alleviate depression commonly seen as part of Parkinson's. Yes, it did. Gratifying, though expected. The fascinating thing they noticed is that so many patients were excitedly reporting that their motor (movement) function had improved with the light box therapy too! It also helps with getting a restful sleep, often a problem for people living with Parkinson's (and that's potentially due to restless legs inaddition to the depression and I imagine the inability to trun in bed, ie shift one's position around in bed/shift one's weight). Sorry can't recall the journal that published the study. I think it was only a couple dozen patients but worth a try. Same light wavelengths as typically used in treatment of SAD. (NOT infrared.) Extremely important that people not look directly into the light box - damaging to eyes potentially. And one needs to gradually increase duration of light exposure but less than an hour a day at peak or can cause other side effects.

Forgot to mention, and if a person CAN walk/exercise more, then that could logically help protect against cognitive deficits of Alzheimer's/potentially help roll them back some. Would get ahold of Dr. John Ratey's book Spark for an explanation as to how exercise helps cognition. It stimulates production of BDNF, brain-derived neurotrophic factor if I remember right. Ratey called it "Miracle Grow of the brain". And/or read neurologist's Dale Bredesen MD's book the End of Alzheimer's or the more recent followup The First Survivors of Alzheimer's or watch some of his interviews here on You Tube. Some of what applies to the brain in Alz's will also apply to the brain in Parkinson's.

You need to figure out the condition you want to focus on, then research what wavelength has been showing good results. Most general health/wellness (skin, muscle, energy, wound healing, inflammation) have seen improvement with wavelengths that LEDs can provide that you can buy for home use. Most deeper issues, like the brain and spine, are really using infrared wavelengths that require lasers or high powered LEDs that aren’t made for home use (and can possibly overheat tissues so not best for DIY, so these devices are usually only reliably provided in clinics by healthcare professionals). Some people are claiming to to treat these conditions with home level devices but they don’t have solid research to prove it… however you may be willing to try anyway of traditional treatment alone isn’t working well. I wouldn’t do it instead of traditional treatments. I just spent a ton of time doing research and watching reviews and testing. I picked the MitoPro 300 by MitoRedLight (good price, good company, long trial period, long warranty, performance/testing by reviewers similar to specs claimed, ability to use red with and without near infrared spectrum, ability to add additional panels later, portability, can use it on table or bed for low mobility patients who can’t stand in front of wall or door panel, auto shutoff timer, easy control panel, up to four wavelengths not just two, quiet, etc). So far I’ve noticed a lot of improvement with joint pain, stiffness, and chronic tendonitis issues (much longer relief than using a heating pad) but I’m only a week in. I have other concerns I hope it will help with but it’s too soon to tell. I think at this price point it’s definitely in the worth a try category. I especially like that treatment can take just a few minutes so it’s not difficult to add into your routine.

@@jhancychaman5516 It is great when new technology mediates a condition. But when we are not doctors and need to help a relative, we have to fall back on what has worked for others. First, know that all remedies are worthless for 1/3 of the population. The coconut oil has worked for many people. The second thing I would try is nasal spray insulin. Alzheimer has been called diabetes 3. The third thing I would try is the ketogenic diet with intermittent fasting each night. Now, I have a fourth simple remedy to try: NIR infrared beds. This remedy works when you don't know what is wrong or cannot get anything else to work: find a goat or sheep dairy farmer unless you can keep animals on your own property. Buy a female animal. Have it get pregnant. When the animal is about 70% through the pregnancy, take some blood from the sick person and inject it into one teat (utter). Do something to mark which one got the blood. When closer to delivery, some people do a second blood injection into the same teat. When the baby is born, the sick person get whatever comes out of that one teat for about two weeks. This bio-designed remedy will heal things that the patient did not even know he/she had.

Thanks for the info. I used a bee propolis spray orally this winter out of desperation ...was very ill with sinus infection and Covid and couldn’t turn it around. When I finally started the spray, I rapidly got better. I have ongoing issues with chronic sinus infections from fungi (Candida) embedded in my sinuses...which Dr Bredsen says can play a role in developing Alzheimer’s. Vit D levels were also very low. I get much better in the summer when I’m constantly outdoors gardening....and it’s not just the Vit d effect, it’s the infrared I absorb while outside. I literally start to die while indoors in our cold overcast winters. And now I’ve learned to use the propolis spray to prevent new sinus infections. It has worked better than anything else I’ve tried, though NAC has also been helpful. Evidently, it also helps fight Covid too.
