It could be like shelter evacuation routes where you could plan a separate school bus line that activates when school starts and ends. I belive that would b e so cool and work with other traffic macnics as it would lower the travel cost and increases the area a school can service. Finaliy it would work with rush hour as you would have to plan your lines around the daily traffic, starting routes earlier to make sure it gets to school on time.

9:45 Historically in the US the church building was the school building. Religious services were held on Sunday which meant the building could be used as a school Monday through Friday. Saturday was a day to clean the building prior to Sunday services. If you had built the parking lot in between the church and school (like you did for the YMCA and athletic field) then it could serve both locations. That said, I actually like how it looks after the landscaping. There is now an open green space next to that parking area. I think that could be used for all sorts of things. Maybe it's land that the church owns and has reserved for future development. In the mean time it could be used by the town for all sorts of community events meaning that the parking area gets used Monday through Saturday.
@marks8867

For those nodes that are close, you can use TMPE to set the intersections to allow traffic to flow through. The default behavior is to not enter an intersection until there is room on the other side, but if you change the setting, they’ll flow more smoothly. This also works for transitions near actual intersections, like a bridge going to level ground just before an actual intersection. 5:46
@PaulWillisJr

Got a few things: I think you should add cut-throughs in the grass on the high school parking lot berms for walking from the spaces closer to the center of each row. Also, remove street parking from streets around the new assets like the stadiums, schools, church, YMCA, etc. There was also a very specific intersection that looked really wonky at 29:32 with the little white car parked on it. Looks fantastic! Such realistic additions all around!

There's still a big issue with the train station. If you look at 38:27 there are people walking across the tracks to get to the parking lot which is very unsafe. This is the best sort of video to wake up to! I think there is no way a church and its school would have separate parking lots. Also a portion of the parking lot would be used as part of the playground, so you don't need separate ball fields for the school, especially for basketball and probably for soccer, too. That would cut down a lot (hah) on size and cost.

As someone who went to three private church-related schools, I can tell you finding a ballfield of ANY kind attached is a rarity. The first two were K-8 and had NOTHING in terms of outdoor dedicated play areas. Our playground and recess time was just in a giant parking lot. My HS luckily was filled with ballfields, but just throwing it out there that the Church+School combo without anything other than a parking lot would totally have been normal in my eyes. Love the look regardless! Keep it up!

The high school parking lots look great, but they're also a disaster waiting to happen. Since there are no cut-throughs in the middle of the parking lot roads, every single teenager running late for class or just feeling marginally lazy is going to walk right through your pretty islands and within a week they'll have desire paths literally everywhere. This can be solved easily by adding a path through the middle of each island that leads directly to the school entrance via a crosswalk.

The stadium lighting seems over the top. The school fields have no bleachers so will not be used for competition but only for classes and school -so during the day or dawn at most. The YMCA field could be used later, but that amojnt of lightning seems unusual im the middle of a neighbourhood. Lastly, i dont think you see a lot of fields with lighting behind the goals, endzones, ... - thats were balls are intentionally hit, thrown and shot. However unlikely that schoolkids get that far, you do want to avoid unnecessary repairs and maintenance.

It also has 4 racquetball courts, 2 NBA-sized basketball courts, a large workout gym, as well as several other rooms for classes like yoga, martial arts, etc. The Carlson Metro branch is also where all of the Rochester YMCA corporate offices are, so by adding it to your city, you're getting some hidden offices as well.

Wow, the folks in Johnson's Creek sure love their tennis! I went to a fairly large high school in a college town and we had I think four tennis courts, though we also had a row of outdoor racquetball courts. We also had a football field with track, a baseball diamond, and IIRC the indoor gym was used for basketball. OTOH we had a whole drama complex that included the Community Theater (that also served as the school auditorium) and a smaller side theater as well as some classrooms. Meanwhile my elementary school yard was just asphalt surrounded by cyclone fence, with a couple of basketball courts, a kickball diamond, and a couple of tanbark pits for slides and climbing structures.
