Not only is it amazing it see the craftsmanship, but to watch her do this with those fingernails is absolutely incredible!

Great upload, thanks! I must have watched this video 500 times when it first came out, it really helped me design and create ideas for watch straps for my leather business. Thank you for sharing it with us! :D

You can get the same thing and same quality on Etsy for less than $400 (leather, handmade and all).

@@hannahlevin3286 Better than Hermes costs 150$ and all handmade. I sold some for apple watch.

The ones on Etsy are nice; they’re hand-cut, shaped and burnished, but are they finished with hand-stitched where the thread is locked at the stress-points? The ones I ordered from Etsy don’t appear finished with hand-stitching.

I dont get it. At 0:54 why did she first apply the edge paint and then creased the strap? The whole thing flaked so bad. I mean I am just an amateur, but does someone know why the steps arent reversed? I would have creased the strap and applied the edge paint after. Thank you.

at last, she worked hard. Many individual artisans make better than Hermes. Even I make with Cordovan leather and they are the best for any leather products.

So they get some leather, punch some holes in it, sew it up, and charge an obscene amount of money for it. Sending humans to mars, or brain surgery, this is not.

No no I think with due respect you have completely missed the point here man.. Hermes is the epitome of leather works and their techniques and tools and the skills make it really expensive!
