I didn't see much, they just kept telling me "look straight into the green light". And that's all I see, shadows and a green dot. I could also feel they're doing something over my eyes but literally no pain. I actually felt they're putting water but based on this video, there was no water involved. Lol. And the whole surgery on both eyes took just 10 minutes. Acne surgery is worse. Lol

My dad had this done when he was younger, and the numbing medicine wore off before the surgery. So he went through the entire surgery with the pain and uncomfortability of something poking at your eye. It worked out perfectly though!
@philiplubduck6107
7 ай бұрын
Odd as they usually do more drops right before (like here’s some more drops and then the part that makes bubbles happens. So even if the drops from ~5 minutes before wore off they have more. Now yes the pressure kinda felt like pain for they put a plastic molded cap on my eye rather than the metal in this video. For me they even said the numbing would last 30-45 minutes post surgery.
@-Scarlett

@@philiplubduck6107 I'm not exactly sure how it went because it was before I was born, but he said they did it in a large group and put the numbing stuff on everyone at once but didn't do everyone's surgery at once. So by the time it was my dad's turn the medicine had worn off. I'm not sure if that's true it's just what I was told.

Yes! Got LASIK and it was one of the most worthwhile purchases I ever made! It is not painful - just uncomfortable. The MOST uncomfortable part about it is not being able to blink. If you try to hold your eyes open for 5 minutes without blinking, that’s what LASIK feels like. That’s the extent of the discomfort. Afterwards, your eyes just feel kind of gunky for the first 2-3 days similar to the feeling of having pink eye and you can’t rub them for the first week (I believe it was only a week?), but that’s it! My cousin went and had it done after she heard me rave about my results and she loves it as well. We are both quite nerdy girls who love reading but had horrible vision pre-LASIK and got tired of the constant expenses of buying new glasses/contacts/eye exams/etc. A huge money-saver long term and a time saver as well!

I do it all the time, when the sun is in one eye, when I put contacts in, when I lose one contact,... You start by focusing on your nose, each eye can see a side of it, then try to switch and focus on the side, look straight ahead but focus on something way left/right, something the other eye can't see. I started doing it with one eye as one was lazy, but now I can switch dominant eyes. Very useful.

It takes about 10-15 mins total! I would recommend not doing a KZitem deep dive (lol) or you’ll freak yourself out! Before you can even have the procedure they do a total eye exam to make sure you’re a good candidate. You can definitely have “touch-ups” if your eyesight needs to be tweaked. I think I had 2 yrs where I could go back for free but didn’t need to. For some it will last forever, for others you may need readers as you age. It can be redone and if need be you can wear contacts again. These were all concerns I had. It’s been about 7 yrs and my vision is still perfect. For those wondering what does this actually do... It's for people with bad eye sight, they just cut the invisible part of the eye and fix the bad parts of the eye with Lazer then put the invisible part back , u just have to take care of your eye for like a month without touching it , most doctors just give the patient an eye patch to help with the process of healing. Edit: it's not painful at all , it's just weird , but seeing this process happening to someone hurts your eye

You will have cataracts around 15 years earlier. Risks of depth and color perception are high. During the surgery all your corneal nerves are severed and whether they grow back normally or not is Russian roulette. Lots of people - me included - end up with corneal neuralgia, a debilitating eye pain. Others end up with chronic dry eye disease. And to top it all up you'll most likely need glasses a few years later again. For the love of God, don't repeat my mistake and keep your healthy eyes.
