After watching John Oliver tonight I'm suddenly curious about where all my greens come from and how much risk is there in salads premade or custom made with store produce. Pre-packaged/washed could still have bacteria and I wonder if the last time I got sick one afternoon 2 weeks ago was due to some spinach I had. I eat like 8 mini salads a day but gah I hope animal waste isn't getting sprayed on it :/ - Do you see facilities where animals are near grower crop in CA? - What is a good way to limit risk?

Food safety is a big part of growing and processing operations, including paying attention to what is located near the growing areas and what is being applied to the crops. If you’re worried about your greens that have been “washed three times”, just wash them again with water. You can see lots of leafy green examples throughout my channel to get a better idea.
