I have to say, absolutely loved this video. I will be officially there to live on Monday and looking forward to what Greenville has to offer. I found on my one visit it was definitely the type of place I’m looking for coming from NYC.

@amustardseedmovement Thank you very much! And welcome to South Carolina! It's definitely a breath of fresh air coming from New York! Things move at a slower pace around here so please don't yell at anyone if they're taking too long haha

@@RenaldotheRealtor ha ha ha! I was blessed to visit back in April/May and I was able to drive around and see. Definitely slower pace and I was able to be at peace. I’ll still ask for God’s Grace to keep me patient.

Thank you for this video! This is great content! Very helpful. Can you do another video like this (maybe in a different location in Greenville) and in addition to asking what they love about the area, also ask where they’re from, how long they have lived there, and maybe even something they dislike about the area?

Relocated to Greenville from DC for work and only lasted 8 months before I went back north: The political climate, identity politics, high proportion of locals and lack of a strong Black middle-class made it difficult to assimilate. Also the city is too slow and stagnant for unmarried adults without children who are more transient and broad-minded. This bred resentment and jealousy amongst those of the lighter shades. Job transfers have required moves to eight states and four countries -- SC by far was the most backwards. #NeverAgain

Thank you for sharing your experience. It sucks that it was such a bad one for you. Coming from a big city like DC is a big culture shock for sure, so that's a tough adjustment to try to make.

If you had to describe the people of Greenville, good or bad, what would you say ?

My opinion is that they're great for the most part. Much friendlier than other states I've lived in. If you drive through a neighborhood, you'll have people waving and smiling as you go by. When my family 1st moved into our neighborhood here we didn't have furniture because our moving truck was delayed. Our neighbors brought us chairs to use in the meantime without us even asking. The people are a big highlight of this area in my eyes

let's talk about what's wrong with Greeenville.I've lived here 67 years and quality of life has gone down.Too much growth too fast.Roads can't handle the traffic.I avoid I85 if at all possible because wrecks often have it shut down. There is more crime, more drugs, gangs and homeless.

Greenville is certainly not the same city it was in 1957. Growth comes with a set of issues but so does stagnation or decline
