London's HSBC Tower (8 Canada Square in Canary Wharf) is due to undergo a major refurb. With HSBC announcing last year their plans to vacate the building in 2027 due to hybrid working, a team of architects and developers have been planning what to do next. Their plans might define a new era for cities worldwide.
The COVID pandemic has highlighted that many jobs can be done remotely, and office owners are beginning to recognise that offices now need to be somewhere people choose to go, rather than being forced. Subsequently, the building will be transformed into a destination - somewhere fun and comfortable: somewhere worth the commute.
I saw this in the news and knew I had to do a video about it. It's a little but rushed, with more repetitive clips and stock imagery than I'd have liked, but I hope you enjoy. Stock videos are from Pexels: www.pexels.com... and I'm extremely grateful.
Please let me know what you think - your feedback on my last two videos has been greatly appreciated. And don't forget to comment your thoughts on the planned HSBC Tower redevelopment.
