I like that the time it took is posted on top. Jackie Chan said that a lot of his crazy choreo were just him and his crew repeating take after take after take. It wasn't magic. It was just a *LOT* of takes until they got it perfect. That's why a lot of his old Hong Kong films were just so crazy. When Jackie came over to Hollywood, the studios didn't like this style of filming because it's really expensive to do something like that. To spend hours and days getting the one perfect take. That's why he was less able to get crazy stunts and choreo compared to his HK days (on top of him just getting old).

gotta love 80s chan. my criterion 4k collection has gotten thoroughly good use over the last 5 years, with a big part of it being all the stunt reel extras. hk cinema was in a golden era between 1980-2000. plus, it was easier for chan and company to do as many retakes as they wanted because their costs were drastically cheaper and their amount of redtape was practically non-existant unlike in america/holywood, where costs are generally sky high comparatively and the amount of paperwork, release forms, liability forms, and a myriad of individual agency rights/protections paperworks can keep the production process slow as a snail--definitely slower than the pace that Jackie and other HK greats like Chow Yun Fat and Sammo Hung etc are used to working at. they would pump out movie after movie back then, 2/3/4 in a year.
