If you have the space, sure. It's rowdy in a car... I put one in the back of our escalade for a while. There's a video I posted on that. The owner of SI has one infinite baffle in his audi trunk. There's also the HST-18 that's a monster as well that SI makes

Stunning subs. You get rid of the original 3 you had? Can't wait for some feedback on the 18s as well. And what a score on the components. I have them all as well. 8s, 6.5s, 3s, tweets. Actually, older versions as well. Love their drivers. Both sons now have SI systems in their cars. Now installing mine.

That's awesome man! I've really only experienced their 24s, so I'm super excited to check out their other offerings. Nick really invests a lot of time and expertise into developing his products, I'm sure they are going to be amazing. Your sons are pretty lucky 😉 I have a 72 chevy c10 that's in dire need of a stereo upgrade. AM radio over a single dash speaker is... not that great 🤣

Negative, ported would do that. These play to 5 hz at an incredible spl, measured 115 db at 5-7 hz in room. Anything 10 hz and above was well over 120 up to 130 db. You'd lose out on your ULF with a ported enclosure under the port tune. These large woofers have so much output due to their size that porting is not really necessary to get high spl

I love Kyles content for sure. I priced out the GSG flat packs, subs, and amplifier. I would have saved $600 dollars of a JTR purchase from a friends used offering of his JTR 4000ULF. However, that cost did not include the build costs for equipment or the understanding that the sub was perfectly tuned to the enclosure for me. I wasn't willing to take that build risk to try an unknown, when I know the JTR's performance before buying. Currently have 2 x 4000ULF's and I am not sure how more is better at this point in my room. Bigger and more is better, just not sure at this point. I am worried that anything over 18's may simply... crack the concrete basement.
@LifeofBliss
Жыл бұрын
JTR and SI are very capable subwoofers... like @tkcdac said, it probably boils down to preference and ability to build your own enclosures. With GSG and SI now both offering built enclosures, it makes it much easier to jump into the HS-24 game.
