Some Necrophagist songs include actual pieces of classical music like in Only Ash Remains the ending is from Dance of the Knights and im pretty sure there is a part of Fur Elise somewhere in Stabwound. It works super well i recommend you guys check it out its awesome.

I've been saying this for 45 years. Paganini was the best shredder of all time. Had he beed born in this century, he'd be hailed as shred god. Just as Malmsteen would have been a great composer, had he been born in the 19th century. Just mho, of course.

Well said ! and we'll played! I agree I think most all music in one shape or form derives from classical. Whether it's adhering ro the " rules" or purposely straying from them, ie blues, jazz ect. Funnily enough this is one of the easiest parts in the violin version. The part afterwards is way harder, though i don’t know if it’s possible in the same way on guitar.

My girlfriend thinks I'm crazy because I listen to full length metal covers of Vivaldi and Beethoven... "Winter" and "Moonlight Sonata" are obvious ones, but (I wish I could find it again) I heard a sick cover of Chopin's Waltz No.3 a few days ago. Check that out if you can find it.
