@@actuallynotstevewhat’s the difference between the wire and sopranos? I only watched sopranos.
@actuallynotsteve
8 ай бұрын
@@anas-432 The Wire is the best TV show ever made, IMHO. The Sopranos is a dark comedy centered around the mafia. The Wire is a show that's about, at first, the drug trade, but it's a show that doesn't have a protagonist and is more about how there are good and bad people inside of every institution, and that the world is what it is. Couldn't recommend it more, but it does not do any exposition and you have to pay attention. Some people can't do that, but if you can handle a story with like 20 characters and nobody explaining out loud to you what's happening, you'll love it. If you liked Sopranos, you'll love The Wire, guaranteed. They're from the same era of HBO and are just peak TV.

Chrissy's inadequacies, ideas, and complexity as a man are so reflective of what it's like living as a dude in the 21st century. He's one of those actors who don't have to change their face or the accent too much for us to believe his character. He's so natural. And I'm a big fan of his voice too

So right about the whole student loan thing. My generation was brainwashed to think that a degree = success after graduation. Obviously not the case LOL

Depends on the degree. Anything in STEM will find you success. Arts are a waste of time because anyone with internet access and dedication can learn it on their own.

You can tell by his questions and reaction to michaels story about opening a theatre that this was the moment he decided to open up his own spot.

His questioning is so simplistic ‘building a theatre must have been a dream moment?’ Of course it was. Just filling up air time. And the right degree does open one up to culture and a broad understanding Joe.
