Process! Process! Process!
Mike Conley is among the best PnR players in the NBA because he plays the actions with outstanding "if" and "than" processes.
Every defense has a solution. You can’t take away everything.
Mike Conley does a wonderful job of systematically working through his process:
1. Reading coverages.
2. Setting up the best angles of attack.
3. Finding solutions for himself and his teammates.
This edit dives into 10 two-man game actions vs. two specific coverages from Minnesota's series vs. Denver:
* Four vs. Down + Drop coverage
* Six vs. Up to the Level coverage.
Conley picked apart these coverages by systematically working through his solutions and taking what the defense gave him.
Teaching point for players watching: PnR basketball is all about angels. Set up angels that give you easier reads, and then take what the defense gives you.
