You know, I never actually caught the part where miraak was an actual DB, I always just assumed he learned everything from herma mora; on top of that I also never considered the connection to akatosh that he had

Why people usually disregard Akatosh's influence in all of this is because of how the Aedra operate. Yes, he did bless Miraak, and the fact that Miraak was loyal to none but himself was a huge gamble for Akatosh to rely on, thats why after Miraak proved to be nothing but another tyrannt, Aka and Kyne acted upon it to somehow give Paarthurnax the inadvertent incentive to repent.

He was not a dragonborn. He stole the power with the help of Mora.

I truly think at this point that Akatosh is actually a aspect of Lorkhan which was forced to merge with Auriel when the Marukhati selective preformed powerful rituals to reshape reality in order to remove the elven aspects from Auriel. However instead they irreversibly connected two eternally opposing forces Lorkhan child of chaos and creator of mankind and Auriel child of order and creator of elvenkind. Now they are but one entity and yet opposites at the same time and this reflects their duality as well as their shared insanity as one side of a coin can never overtake the other...

Huh, solid theory, definitely gives us something to think about; which is why ES lore is so good, it's expansive af

@@thexith dude it honestly is I spend hours upon hours just watching vids and delving into the lore aspect of the Elder Scrolls it’s always expanding constantly I dunno if Todd Howard ever intended for it to become this expansive or not but what he has created along with everyone at Bethesda is truly a masterpiece of fantastical lore

bothers me he is akatosh god of time, creater of elder scrolls who show the future... and you telling me he saw the coming of the last dragonborn slaying alduin and ending his crisis but not the betrayel of miraak who he will send to deal with alduin? or he wanted to pretend that miraak successfully betrayed him while he was planning on it to shape the future as he pleases? to make LDB not just defeat alduin but also miraak + harkon = gain ton fq of power and dragon souls in the process? bring about another of his aspects rise to godhood like talos? yeah talos is akatosh's aspect too since he is a dragonborn, all bits of dragon souls are his aspect is it his plan to bring his little pieces into godhood and perhaps merge to become super god and project itself outside of the world that godhead created? afterall he did took alduin's soul, there might not be 9 but 8 gods as talos became a god but not a seperate god but instead merged with his father (like any dragons became one as you slew them as dragonborn), so when LDB dies he will ascend to godhood not as seperate one but by becoming one with his father? dammm

I doubt Akatosh wanted for Alduin to become what he did, the line of Dragonborns was a failsafe of sorts, to stop Alduin from ruling that is - solely because he wasnt meant to rule, but reset the world to a new Kalpa.
