Good advice. Very well analysed. My advice, is learn some European language (German, French or Dutch) either apply for masters or a job & Relocate to Europe, getting a citizenship is easy, also you have opportunities to invest in market world over. Your retirement, medical care and education of your children is taken care by the govt. Plus if you love vacations & adventure no better place than Europe. Enjoy life.

Medical care is cheeper in India compared to those European countries, children education is free in govt. schools not in private schools, same as in India. In these countries you need to pay atleast 40-50% of your salary in as tax😂 don't think the facilities are free. Leave about buying a property, renting also very expensive. Theses are only good to make some saving and coming back to home country.

But in a city Like Bangalore or Hyderabad it was hard to save 25000rs monthly after all the expenses . I am not talking about high exceptionally skilled people I am talking about normal IT guys .

Even if you learn German you won't be able to hold a conversation like the native speakers! I mean you just did a course and they grew up here, getting that level of fluency takes like at least 10 years. I know people who have been living in Germany since last 15 years and still struggle when it comes to speaking in a group where everyone is a native speaker. Not to mention that there is a lot of "Umgangssprache" words which are used and you can't know all of them. It's a very long process and might take half of your life. The only people who would enjoy are your kids, because for them it would lot easier and also to make friends with people. The feeling of belongingness is never there, you are just a cog in the entire wheel, the only people with whom you can hang out with is other fellow Indians, even if you can speak C2 level German. Then comes the taxes part and I can go on and on, but it's of no use :) Also if you are getting married in the future, I assume you're marrying someone from India, then your spouse also have to learn the language and maybe they don't have the interest "oder keine Lust", then it would really get very lonely for them! Moreover, your kids will grow up learning only German and not much English, which will confine them only to Germany. All I want to say is that people should know the big picture before making any decisions as those decisions are gonna influence not only theirs but also other people's lives who would be dependent on them.
@soumil1073

Very well said! These are also some of the aspects which one should be aware of, before making any decisions. But frankly speaking, i also wasn't aware of these negative aspects and simply took the decision to move abroad, and looking back 8 years, i don't regret them at all. Although the points you mentioned above are all correct, living in any country outside our home-country has its own challenges, it's all about how we find our way out of it. Taxes, yes they are high, but as Akshat says in his videos, when you are in a higher income bracket in India, you pay high taxes too, but do we get good health care, infrastructure and social security facilities in our country? we get all these facilities here. That doesn't mean we should leave India forever and settle in these countries. Even living and earning here for 5-10 years of our life, will give us that financial push and a good career growth, to go back to India and work at a higher post in any company or work on our own startup, and contribute to the growth of our country by being a job creator :) I have friends who speak really great German and have integrated into the society very well, and also friends who, decided to move back to India permanently, because of the points you rightly mentioned above. So I think it is definitely worth taking that risk to study abroad, find a job to recover all that education money within two years, and then make a decision whether to stay longer or to go back to India. In both the cases we are not losing anything, just gaining :)

Reasons, Living in Abroad is not to earn more but to be away from 'Corruption', 'Democracy Sabotage', 'Pollution', 'Professional and Personal life Balance', 'Good Roads', 'Very fewer traffic Jams', '24 hours power', '24 hours water' and many more. Even after knowing the biggest problem(population, basic amenities, Climate Change), A GOVT CANNOT TACKLE IT, AND ITS A SHAME. Please come out of your misconception and narrow mindset that people living abroad are only for money. If you question Govt in western countries you are not a 'Desh Drohi', 'Pak_istan_', 'Terrorist' and when you live abroad you learn to be practical and self-dependent. I had a very positive opinion of you even though the majority of your videos speak only about the positives and success of you from age 30 till now. Please do not be an intelligent fool. I don't agree with your idea of PPP. Goods and services of the same quality are approx 5X more expensive in the US than in India. This applies to taxi fares, haircuts, real estate, or a restaurant meal. Now the specific example of a pastry you gave applies only to branded items originating from abroad. For example, iPhones, luxury cars etc cost roughly the same anywhere in the world because their point of intellectual origin is in US/Germany/ etc. Now of course, the pastry you ate was made in India by Indian raw materials, but most of its cost is towards the brand royalty that's to be repatriated abroad to its country of origin. This fee will be the same in India, Japan, Vietnam or Egypt. And so will your bill in all these countries.
@swastikrajghosh
3 жыл бұрын
iPhones don’t cost the same in India & US. India has a higher tax rate on imported items and you actual end up paying up to 25-30k more on the newer iPhones. And the amount goes up for pricier items.

3 жыл бұрын
@@swastikrajghosh minus local taxes and international shipping, iPhones, Gucci bags and Tesalas will cost almost the same anywhere in the world because their point of manufacture/ intellectual origin is a single place in the US or EU. @@swastikrajghosh the point was that Akshat was dismissing the concept of PPP by comparing the cost of a BRANDED pastry he ate in India and Singapore. That's not right. You can get scholarships in the colleges abroad which do help. Else many colleges offer an in state tuition (lot less than regular fees) incase you do a part time job on campus like a teaching assistant or research assistant. In a few cases your fees are fully paid too. I have studied in the US and have been working for the last 6 years and honestly I think I made a good decision for myself. In management consultant job I do, I earn less than 300k but have bought 3 apartments (2 bedroom two and 3 bedroom one) in India and one house of 4 bedroom abroad. The houses in India are fully paid for as well and I am 35 yrs old. None of my other friends collegues with whom I studied with and who were more intelligent tha me have a fully paid for flat/house. I went abroad, earned money , learned money management and investment strategy and you will defiantly have more assets than if you were working in India.

@@priyad6506 Interesting! I've just started working and earn around 11L per year in India. I'm in dilemma whether to pursue Masters in US or not. By your experience, what do u say? Should I do Masters?

@@gsharan2901 hi, to be clear I live in Uk 😅 but saying that, cost of living is more in uk than USA so ya again it’s all about money management. Anyone going abroad for studies, I would suggest to get experience in same field you want to pursue abroad as it is easier to secure good high paying jobs after masters with experience and then you can grow into whatever position you are after. Looks like you do have a good job in India, take make sure you have 4-5 yrs exp / expertise in particular domain. Abroad does have good standard of living and facilities and though you keep hearing things like no servants etc, but the appliances like washer dryer, dishwasher, robot vaccums cleaner plus no dust in countries like Uk so it’s not as bad as it sounds. But saying that, you can hire cleaners, handyman’s etc as and when needed. But only negative is you are away from your family and in times like this pandemic, it is very stressful to be away from your loved ones.

@@priyad6506 Cool, but if I want to move to India later, is it difficult to get a good paying job in India later? Some of my friends said so.. And is it possible to get a good job in India (comparatively) immediately after pursuing masters?

Industry and the demand for the same in economy also depends A simple example is in areas like electrician, plumbing and skilled trades have lower pay scale here, but the same who are hustling in developed nations can earn almost equivalent to these top end professional careers. (Though the earning growth in future might be debatable)

There is oppurtunity costs involved in decisions. Going abroad is ok. But expenses are very high. Standard of living is also very high. But once you make a decision its very difficult to come back. You will be in a devils advocate position. For eg: canada. 3-5 years will be required for a person to simply come to PR after studies. This comes around 40 lakhs -2 crores. If you plan to settle abroad its a good decision. But please dont waste huge money on fancy education for the sake of getting a degree. Any man can acquire knowledge through reading and experiences. Indian education is still good.
