I’m glad you did this video. Most people that buy Evos now don’t need them. They are no where near financially ready to afford one. Evos aren’t cheap.

Great vids as always, I like that you mentioned how long it took you and the reality of building it little by little. EVOS aren't cheap but they are awesome. I have a 9 MR and recently got coilovers, wheels and tires. Building it little by little. Keep up the great work and look forward to your future videos 😃👍

I have Evo 8 MR OEM++ low miles $50k car. It's so clean that I don't even want to mess with values going up it might be time to set it free to a new home. Those high quality JDM and aftermarket bolt-ons add up fast but so worth it

20k plus for my forged build and I did a lot of the pull out myself however you get hypnotised by the tuner who sells you an ecu, larget pump, extra gauges, a better dump, high flow cat and then write your own check for the break in dynoing and come back after dynoing. It goes on and on

Nice video man, I totally feel the pain of the cost of building my Evo 8! Looks great and like the direction your build is headed. Mine has been an endless addiction for almost 7 years now. A little detail advice, take some metal polish to that Radiator and even your AC crimped fittings and all the other metal lines if your OCD like me lol. The tiny things are worth it in the end. 🙏

Yep the shit is no joke. I paid out my EVO already 30k with 19k miles. Currently sitting with 26k miles but the car portion is done payed out. Recently bought an EVO 8 non ACD Tcase and diff for about 2,100 + 800 to build it. 1k just on front 900hp axles. $1300 (originally $1900) headlights EVO 8 MR dealer discount price because I work for dealer. Had to find a clean of matching tails because right side discontinued but spent $500 and left side was chipped so of course I ordered a new left side for like $500. One thing thankful for is getting dealer access I can even order JDM parts with a nice discount as long as they aren’t discontinued which is why I’ve been trying to get as much as I can before Mitsubishi fucks us 😭. Still gotta plan out my trans build, suspension build, and bolt ons and engine build 🤦🏾♂️. 💰💰💰 “just shut up and take my money” 🤣🤣.

I feel your pain haha. I've got a t-case and AYC pump to swap into my car. Plus currently replacing both rear chassis legs. So much rust under the car! Good luck with the build, sounds awesome!

If you don't mind buying someone else's build, it will save you TONS of money. Been looking at some 700-900whp Evo 8/9's in the 28k-38k range atm. That's the route I will go with.

Prices on parts change because the initial value of the car. So I you have a cheap car your parts will coincide with the value of the car. If you bought a super car or extoic car the prices are higher and more valuable to the cost of the higher cost car. And the quality is suppose to be higher for higher price parts along with the value of the brand of the vehicle.

That sounds about average to get your car where it is. The car hobby is not a poor man's game I don't know why people think that it is. I am sad to see that you'll be letting this car go it is definitely one of the more nicer Evolution 8s that I've seen in a very long time.

"Bolton's are not a build" 🤣 you shouldn't be including purchase price as you need a car to start with and that's not part of the build. Built evo is an actual build for eg: building the bottom end.
