Hi! As per your own thought, do you think apartment rentals will go up by next year? or will it constantly stay the same range? Also, how long does it usually take to find a decent studio or 1 bedroom apartment? (what is the timeframe? from what I heard it takes 4 months?) and how are prices in terms of a studio or 1 bedroom? Thanks!
@BrandonGrass

Hi Dani, rentals are a little out of my wheelhouse, but I would expect rental prices to be the same or slightly higher next year. I would think you would want to give yourself a few months to search out a great rental. Be sure to check out FB marketplace and our local classified site Castanet

do you see most buyers buying older detached houses to rebuild or do they just buy a newer build at higher price?
@BrandonGrass

Both are very popular options, of course, depends on the buyer's budget. Some people forgo all the work and purchase the renovated home all finished and fixed up that is (new) to them.

Hi Brandon, my wife and I are planning to move to Kelowna from Manitoba in a few years when we are retired. Do you have any information about the costs of health insurance in BC ?

Basic MSP (medical services plan) starts out at $65 dollars a month and goes up from there. A very popular option a lot of people go with for extended medical and dental is Blue Cross. There website is here www.pac.bluecross.ca/

The tallest building behind you has great views of the lake. It looks like a condo' building, but could be a hotel. What would a 2 bedroom condo' cost in that building please (approx., depending on square footage).

Thank you for watching! there are two towers behind me the one with the (red) roof is Discovery Bay and the more modern-looking one is Waterscapes. Condos range from the Mid 4's up and up depending on the view floor etc. Here is a list of all the available downtown listings in Kelowna right now for you to have a look at brandongrass.com/kelowna-north-real-estate

Don't get me wrong Kelowna is nice, however it's not as good as it was back in 90s and early 00s they got rid of some cool stuff and crime went up along with prices. 3 bedroom basic family home with a view on what was Westbank was about 140k brand new back in 97. Same home today probably 800k or more. Insanity, only the rich and wealthy can live there and enjoy it. If you're middle class or poor you need to move as hard as it might be.

@BrandonGrass
3 жыл бұрын
Hi Brandon, Thanks so much for subscribing and asking a question, average small family income will depend on a few things will you be renting? buying? do you own a car? have car payments? With rentals being in high demand for a three-bedroom rental you should expect to pay north of $2,200 per month, then your living expenses, groceries etc. If you would like to send me some more information via email at brandon@brandongrass.com I'd be happy to answer a bit more in-depth.
