That is certainly a reasonable price to get excellent health care in Thailand. Unless people have actually been to places like Hua Hin, it's hard to imagine just how good the quality and affordability of health care is. As an older person, there's a reason why so many older people gravitate towards Hua Hin. Fortunately, I don't need to visit the hospital, but this trip I have had numerous visits to the dentist and have been very happy with the cost and the level of care.

In the last few years I’ve lived in Hua Hin I went to the Bangkok hospital and the service, care and attention is excellent. However recently I was admitted to the Hua Hin public hospital for 17 nights. The care was excellent but as you mentioned they are busier so the “attention” wasn’t as good. Cost wise was much lower, however I’ve gone back for blood tests and scans and the CTC scans I’ve just had would’ve been cheaper at the Bangkok hospital. Due to being pre existing conditions I couldn’t get coverage on insurance so paid 100% myself. Ironically some of the doctors at the public hospital also work privately at the Bangkok hospital so you can be confident in them as well. Hope everything goes well for you all and look forward to further videos 👍🏻

Love you both. What incredible parents you already are🩷🩷. Plus, just like Safetywing, we're always here for you😉
You would be well advised in choosing doctors for mom and baby by asking around as much as possible for recommendations. Do not be attracted only by how nice the hospital looks and let yourselves be assigned some random doctor. This is really crucial. If you want a " natural " childbirth but are told you need a caesarian, consider getting a second opinion. After the birth if you want to exclusively breastfeed but are told baby needs formula milk, again consider getting another opinion. Do not ask for a "water birth", they are not helpful and there is a definite risk of infection. Wishing you the very best of luck.

Look into a natural home birth. People have been doing it for thousands of years. It doesn't traumatise the baby. There are people who can help with this. Leaving the placenta on for longer etc is said to help.
