Love it! Thanks for sharing your CPM/RPM on KZitem! It's interesting coz while my yoga videos earn a little less, my yoga nidra and meditation videos earn a lot more on AdSense. And like you - I agree the other off-KZitem activities definitely earn more money (affiliate marketing and brand collaborations off-platform have been great for me!) Like you, I really enjoy the filmmaking process (I'm a producer in my other life), so would do this with or without money anyway. Thanks for sharing your insights!

That’s interesting 🤔 When I check Google trends Yoga Nidra is very popular though, but I wonder why the money is different than for normal yoga!

Me too! I haven't been focusing as much on KZitem lately as my focus has turned to the students inside my online courses, and then a lot on email marketing. My focus ebbs and flows. I'll get back to posting more KZitem content again at some point.

All of those tips and teachings are in my courses and paid coaching programs. I will likely put a few videos out on this, though. I have lots of content ideas written in a google doc right now. Just have to start recording them. ☺️

New to your channel. Liked and subbed for sure. Video looks very well done and I'm going to have to go back to some of your earlier videos and see how the quality has differed. Two quick questions- what camera did you start out with? And at what point ( if you're to that point) were you able to use this as your sole source of income? I'm looking to expand beyond some passive income sources that are just enough to live on, but not allowing me to do some things for my kids that I had growing up. If that's too personal of a question or too much to answer, thank you for your time either way. I look forward to exploring more of your channel.

I started with the Logitech C920 webcam back in 2016, I think. I took time off building anything online in 2019 when I bought a yoga studio. So I wasn't actively growing an online business, but stepping foot to the brick n mortar style. We were open 5 months before closing due to pandemic. I recently let the lease expire just this past December. In 2019, when I was leading in person teacher trainings, I took a course on teaching online courses and applied it to my in person training. In 2020, I use that course to build and sell my online courses. Online courses became my full-time income in 2020 when I had no other options and a lot of overhead costs (not to mention a toddler at my feet.) I also tapped into the government money for business help, but that really just helped to pay the $2400 rent on the studio each month. I still had an apartment to pay for, bills, etc, and myself and a baby to feed. In 2020, I always made just enough each month to pay my bills, plus growing my passive streams on the side. In 2021, I launched a membership, with has created more dependable recurring income. I would consider this full time. My revenue from September to now has stayed consistent between $6k-9k per month, without any big launches, taking time off, and being super flexible with my schedule. It's continuing to grow, but at a slow and steady pace. No get rich quick thing. Hope that helps!

The thing with the what topics pay more......is this. Most of the people in those categories doing uploads are BUYING views . They have run their RPM down. it does not matter what kind of video I produce......I make $10.00 per 1000 views. Or more. I can put on a video of a dog pooping in my yard.......or an archaeology video....an animal video.....ANYTHING...................$10.00 from launch.....and most likely will increase.

It's pretty great to see other creators share their revenue stats because i'd have been stuck making content for an RPM that paid me 10x less than the average American RPM , which is crazy because that's also the demographic hardest to get views from. LoL

There are many chnnels here on yt that post videos of live feeding their reptiles. They put their reptiles in a glass box, throw in a hamster, a mice, a rat, a baby rabbit and film it while it get ripped apart. These videos are titled as educational videos. Now i know why.

I know this is unrelated to the video, but I purchased the rode Wireless go after I watched one of your videos. I absolutely love it, but I have a quick question. How do you eliminate background noises? Do you use an extra software? I looked through your videos and I could not find a tutorial on that.
@AshleyHagen
2 жыл бұрын
I don't need to eliminate background noise. So, I don't really know from personal experience. You can probably do it with an app or set Zoom settings differently to do this.

Im curious how long it took you to plan and edit this. To work out how much you get paid for your time on youtube aswell. If that makes sense x
@AshleyHagen
2 жыл бұрын
30 min to plan, maybe 30 minutes to record, 1.5 hr to edit, and then the thumbnail, upload, description, etc maybe another 30 mins. It’s hard to tell, though, what one video will make me, in terms of money. Because people might watch others from this one. Or work with me in different ways. So, I really don’t ever track my time in dollars or think about making a video for the money. I really enjoy making videos, and I’d do it whether or not I got paid.

KZitem should pay more. 1000 views is a LOT of people yet it only pays an average of $3-5?
@AshleyHagen

I’m grateful it pays anything, unlike other social media platforms. Reels bonuses seem to be a bit of a joke. You need millions on millions of views to get paid anything.
